  1. Sad fact is in all the past attempts of national reciprocity its been written in non-resident ccw from another state = no go in your home state = NJ residence are still screwed
  2. Report it missing/I think destroyed in the washing machine when you apply for the new one
  3. That might actually be a good thing for jersey. It would force SCOUS to finally take a 2A case. I'm thinking when SCOUS over turned that EO what ever reason they gave for it being illegal federally could be used here in the peoples republic.... It would at least open the door..... set a precedence to argue?
  4. National CCW is not the point. Leave it with the states, but have the feds outline Maximum standards for Shall Issue and rule non-compliance to be Infringement, Nobody looses, free states are not required to heighten requirements, the states ruled by comrades the party must comply.
  5. If he got probation, if I'm not mistaken he had to have been convicted of something? Any conviction that has the word minor in it is not good no matter how ridiculous or unfounded
  6. Of course its a good idea. Why wasn't it thought of long ago? Make the terrorist a prohibited person, he now can't get a gun, his career as a terrorist comes to a screeching halt and we're all safe. Its fricken brilliant! Thank god for liberal thinking
  7. This is kind of like a dog years scenario, ya know 1 year = 7 dog years. Well this is NJ days, 30 days = 9 months, just ask anyone whos applied for a pistol purchase permit.
  8. FYI Not what you asked but seems your not well versed in NJ laws that attempt to virtually ban fire arms and their usage altogether. Everywhere in the country views hollow point ammo as a deterrent to collateral damage. NJ sees it as evil killing material. Hollow points may only be in your possession from place of purchase to your home or range or from your home to a range. Doesn't matter if you have a firearm or not. One example, a person in NJ was convicted of possession of (banned) hollow point ammo for having a round of hollow point with a hole drilled through the brass (no gun powder in it) on his key ring. Coming from FL to NJ is a big change as far as gun rights, you'd be wise to familiarize yourself with NJ gun laws if your going to keep one in NJ.
  9. I'm kind of thinking 2A was written specifically for this. The ability to prevent the government from ignoring rights of the people. Obviously the first one that would have to go would be the one that allows the people to enforce the rest. Kind of makes me think of two countries having nuclear weapons, the thought being they are deterrents. Neither will use then by virtue of retaliation of the same. Sounds like Conn is threatening to launch tho?
  10. Sounds good, but here in NJ they'd probably hold you and call a cop thinking it was illegal to possess a ccw card in NJ
  11. My God that looks evil! Think of the Children! It MUST be banned this instant!
  12. What I find interesting are the comments after the artical. There is one or two that sight other rights taken away by the state (such as the second A). But most are how the state is stripping away out right to privacy by warrantless searches. I get the feeling that most of the commenters bitching about their right and civil liberty be violated in this instance are the same liberals that want to out right abolish 2A because its not what "they want". Typical liberalism.
  13. Duct Tape..... Dont know how or why it will work but you can fix anything with duct tape! Sorry but I just couldnt hep saying that. I've pounded out taper pins... They're always a bear. One thing VERY important. Surface its sitting on must be rock solid. What I've found works best is opening a vice just enough that you can put the pin over it and it will fit thru..... Have someone hold it in that position and whale on it...... I use a regular claw hammer and it works...... a 3 or 5 lb sledge should be a sinch
  14. I was thinking like Turncoat why 180. And I kinda figured what Diamondd said to be the case. Altho can't see a state legislation going from no issue to shall issue without some type of being give an ultimatum. One would think if they were no issue state and the court ordered a cease on the Chicago ban the best they would put in place would be a NJ type front. I'm wondering what made them go the way they did. Also as to what I originally asked, How does NJ's blatant corruption of issue to the connected, deny those in genuine need go unaddressed by even civil rights watchdogs? Religion, speech, anything else and they'd be all over it. Discrimination goes beyond race religion and sexual orientation
  15. Something Is bothering me about the current state of NJ CCW policy/parameters. If a state like Illinois is forced by US courts (with cities like Chicago that had total handgun bans) to become Shall Issue, how is it possible that NJ can remain Issue only to the connected with out outside intervention seeing this corruption? This is a serious question not meant to prompt welcome to NJ comrade reply's.
  16. Take FL for instance I happened to be there when I applied for my non-resident CCW, but even if your not in the state and do a mail in 30 days and its in your hand. NJ 30 days = 6 months typically.
  17. I'm looking to replace a stock hand guard with a $35 drop in that's little more comfortable to hold and looks real nice and I get reply's for, Troy Alpha/Bravo rails, Daniel Defense Omega's, fancy carbon fiber.......... Guys, I'm POOR! I godda hear from my wife how she's going to divorce me next time I spend money on that damn gun every time the credit card bill comes in with $150 from Dicks for ammo. She just doesn't understand!
  18. It is a 22 kind of .223 LOL look at the brass size....... Compaired to a 30-06 30-30 its nothing. Saw you said above you went to the range and popped off almost 300 rounds and I got wood. I godda git out to the range this weekend........ then when the credit card bill comes in with the $150 charge from the gun shop, I'll have to explain to the wife about Bullets aint cheap! LOL
  19. It shoots accurate with the stock hand guard..... Like I said, Its not a tack driver, but fine for what it is. Besides to go free float (Which I have on other ARs) on this one I'd have to get a pinned and welded comp off. That alone would prompt to leave it as is if after market drop ins didn't exist.
  20. I got an M&P 15 ORC and theres things about it I wanted different. I don't consider it a build or rebuild by any means, just getting it how I want it one piece at a time. Hand guard, pistol grip, trigger. It was OR when I bought it so right off the bat I put sights on that I wanted. Out side the few things that I mentioned I really liked it out of the box.
  21. When I did my first build I built the upper from scatch. You may want to rethink and go that route. It has a lot of advantages........ Make it compliant from the start, choose you barrel (length, chamber, twist, gas length), choose your BCG, ect. Best part of all, if you put it together piece by piece you'll know and understand how it works inside out. BTW everything you need to know can be found here or on youtube
  22. Better get it now before trenton makes it an evil feature!
  23. I'm looking to change out the handguard (from the stock round one) on my AR flat top OR too. I have flip up iron sights and a co-witness red dot. This ones not a 500 yd tack driver so I'm not interested in a floater. Its not a Mall Nija so I don't need a quad rail. Just a reasonably light, reasonably cheap, more comfortable than the roundy hand guard. I'm looking at the Magpul. It comes in all 3 gas length and seems to fit my needs and snaps down on the existing delta ring and round front cap. As far as I can see its exactly what I'm looking for. Anybody that has one see any down side to it for my intended use?
