  1. Rest assured, there are plenty of people on here who will immediately negatively critique anyone or association promoting themselves if it's warranted and even when it's not. The BIG NJ associations are all pretty solid. ANJRPC CNJFO, NJ2AS. They are all nonprofits and MUST disclose publicly their 990's, and are published on the IRS website I beleive.
  2. I had permits back in a week and I applied at about the same time.
  3. Since.... always. I remember filling out my 10year residency history back in 2008 when I first applied.
  4. I was just printed today, I will update when all the paperwork is dropped off and start my timeline for sussex county, probably sometime next week when I can get my last reference to sign off and pickup a certified check.
  5. Don't disregard the fact that Forums such as this are considered social media...
  6. So you are willing to give the state access to all your social media accounts?
  7. I would just straight up lie on the application or when asked. If caught lying I would find a good lawyer and collect a nice payday for the Civil rights violation. Gotta draw the line somewhere..
  8. I always thought BCM as a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda company. They're not the latest and greatest company... they have a good reputation, and it probably wouldn't payoff to try and be the next KAC. BCM has moved with the industry standards over time. I really like their stripped uppers and price point, throw on my favorite DD lite hand gaurd, spikes lower with magpul furniture and a JP enhanced bolt... you have a rifle very few companies offer off the shelf at a great price point.
  9. I used the ORI, and my town popped up to select it. So, I'm not sure.
  10. The barrel can be threaded... the issue is with using the fake suppressor. Tell them to refund you the cost of the firearm, or ship it with the threaded barrel.
  11. NJ won't pass any new laws until after the midterms... they aren't just waiting to see what happens with NYs new laws. Not that it should matter to voters since we already know their intent.
  12. A restriction placed on a carry permit has in the past limited an Indivudal to time and place, the permit would also list what firearms the permit qualifies you to carry. The restriction marked, would indicate you are only allowed to carry the specific firearm when working, such as an armed gaurd. Not sure how that applies today with the change in permits being "unrestricted" to time and place... it may be an error by the courts to list none, in which case you're not limited in any sense. I would be very careful with such an error when the firearms you qualified with are listed by serial number on your permit... they did that for a reason, regardless of which box was checked at the top.
  13. I was referring to the OP, who has his FPID. Do we not consistently argue about gun laws because they end up punishing primarily everyone over those "bad actors". The guy went through all the legal loopholes to obtain a firearm, and then gets stopped by these practices? I believe gunforhire will rent if you already have a pistol of your own present, or pay a 25 dollar fee for an RO to essentially evaluate and monitor you.
  14. To be honest, when they look for the prints in the system, they will all be there.... not sure how they find them without a specific case number. If you have your FPID they use the same code for carry permits, there is only one Firearms code for Identigo in NJ. There is no time limit for getting prints, it's entirely discretionary, they picked an arbitrary 6 months time limit. There are some shitty PDs that make you refingerprint just for new pistol permits.
  15. It's amazing that these places will sell you a gun to fire in their range alone, but won't let you rent one alone...
  16. Hopefully they stand up to the NJ AG and sue the shit out of this state.
  17. When the government starts passing laws, prosecuting gun owners it becomes a 2a issue. Property owners already have 4a rights, and this doesn't provide or remove them, it simply establishes a punishment for a violation. If the 2a states we have a right to keep and bear arms, if private property owners want to BAN guns from their property they can do it in civil court just like ever other fucking property dispute takes place. Or, they can process no tresspass orders for violaters, and have them arrested if they come back.. Like I said before, I've had people trespass on my property before and the cops would do nothing unless they had a certified document where the offender acknowledged he wasn't allowed. Even after the cop told him not to come back, the cop still said if he did it again he would only tell him to leave. I was blown away after an entire police report was documented, they still wouldn't do anything. We ended up having a letter drafted, served and certified, which was presented to the PD to be placed on file. I also agree samiam, that the government cannot compel you to allow firearms on your personal property. It should be widely acknowledged that property owners do not have to respect anyone's rights, and as such you can decide to enter the property.
  18. Where does Florida Law prevent a property owner from telling someone to leave who is presumably committing an act they disagree with? While I agree property owners have rights, however if they provided public spaces they cannot assume everyone entering will know or understand their policies. Putting up signage assumes that customers are required to read it, and its not assumed people will read every piece of information on a door while entering, neither are they required to. It's not specific to Florida, just about everystate requires the person be notified they have been ordered not to tresspass before a law is broken. And keep in mind, the 2a just like the 4a, applies to government respecting your rights. If for example an establishment wishes not acknowledge my 2a, why should we respect their 4a?
  19. You can't be charged with Tresspassing until you physically (and personally) tell someone they are not allowed on the property. Cops don't assume signage means anything, unless you lawfully have to read something before entering property and sign you did, think waivers and such. I've literally tried to have people arrested for trespassing and the cops were apologetic they could do nothing until after they were severed notices of no-tresspass. On what grounds would he arrest you just for being in a school zone? So an entire department came to the conclusion that school zones, which aren't school property, will be treated as such? Nice.
  20. 2 inch radius at 200 yards is a 4" diameter circle. Wouldn't that be roughly a 2moa spread? A second point would be that civilian xm193 is labeled for NATO spec not necessarily meeting accuracy requirements, and often it's classified as factory "rejects" as not meeting spec for one reason or another but still safe to shoot. I would be shocked to see anyone getting sub moa out of a standard AR barrel using what amounts to plinking ammo. I may have been thinking of m855 for the lesser accurate moa, regardless.
