  1. omg i was just gonna post this!!!! they should give him a wood gun until he is ready for the real deal.. ahaha!
  2. Thats cool, he probably has a huge table and battle field at home lol.
  3. http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=462&CFID=146054717&CFTOKEN=41253481&jsessionid=f03082384eca44806534 http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=380 I emailed them for weight specs on the hand guard but never herd back, i know it is heavy, just not sure how much. it has to weigh close to 20oz if not more.
  4. LOL i was literally just watching that, but this mean i would have to get the barrel nut too, since the one i have is for a free float(threaded w/ jam nut). This looks like to be an upgrade from a non-free float.
  5. I need to remove the barrel nut either way to get the RRA FF off. I actually really like the RRA hand guard, but it's 2x the weight of these. I'm looking to end up at around 12oz which incorporates many rail systems but less is better. A few things on the list include a receiver block or the mag block, probably receiver since its way more supporting. DPMS AR tool I'm liking the Samson Evo, i like the modular rails i have a flip sight on my gas block so the troy isn't an option. looks like a good choice, but how is the design in respect to a FF that screws on to the barrel nut and locks using a jam nut?
  6. That's pretty funny...lol. I'll admit i didn't read the article tho, just the part about the bullets..
  7. Ok so I'm in the market for a hand guard as the RRA one current installed weighs a SH8t TON. I've been looking around and have narrowed down my search to something like the DD lite 9.0. The only problem is that the rail can be bought for 300 but then i need the $10 tool, plus i would have to buy the $20+ AR tool will barrel nut wrench. I priced it out to be about 360 shipped to my door, which is just to much money for me to drop on a hand guard, although if my pockets were deep i would be glad too. My question is now, what are some good light 9" FF hand Guards.... My criteria are light and strong... much like every one else's and decently priced.
  8. Immune system is only part of it, and a virus is much different then a fungal infection. The immune system is used to fight infection on two fronts, We do have redundant systems, which means we would need something like a virus for this to happen, much like rabies which burrows into nerve tissue and spreads. Unlike fungus which typically grow on cells, leeching nutrients and in some cases releasing chemicals. The thing that scares me is that our brains have no way to fight infections because of the barrier in place... there is no immune system in the brain... but it is hard for many things to get past this barrier with the exception of certain viruses and prions even fungus. The CNS in the human body works differently then in insects in that it connects one brain to the body, instead of connecting "multiple brains" to work as one. It would be very difficult for the human body to undergo an infection on this scale because the fungus/virus would have to take over many systems of the brain with out damaging others since our brain controls so many functions. This reminds me of a zombie movie where they broke down how the virus attacked higher order thinking parts of the brain like the front lobe, and left the medulla and brain stem in working condition. The reason i shrug off a fungal infection is because of the way it evolves and it's overall characteristics. If we ever see zombies they will be from a virus, since they are very keen on adapting to keep there host alive and have the ability to take over cells. I'm looking at it from a evolutionary stand point where fungus typically infects and kills, it's primary objective is not to keep the host alive.
  9. I hate to be the biologist to break the news to you guys but insects don't really have brains that can be taken over. Many of there movements and such are already autonomous like, no cns. There legs actually already control themselves. The brain only tells the ant where to go based on sensory input via its antennae, the rest is basically automatic to begin with. So any disruptions in this part of the ant would certainly lead to zombie like behavior, if you cut the antennae off an ant it would walk aimlessly until it dies. There already what is considered drones, much like bees, where they follow sensory input, if there sensory organs are disrupted it becomes catastrophic. I took an Entomology class last year, it was very interesting. Unfortunately i don't see something like this happening in humans, but we can only hope. We have fail safes built into our bodies, and many systems would have to be effected for it to happen. primarily why we dont see this stuff in humans but in a lot of insects because it can hit one part of the bug and take over.
  10. They should put up fences at the end of the streets and just herd them in, cage em up, and let the sun beat on them for a couple hours.
  11. I would think so... if the deceased has debt the estate is used to pay it off, what is left goes to the heir.
  12. This is why formal debates don't happen between the two, there is no logic on there side or anything to support their claims. A debate between the two would end up being a complete waste of time because they dont listen to anything people have to say, they just make SH8t up and pretend like its real. Debates are very useful when people are deciding or on the fence about any given topic, and can give insight to many different aspects of the topic, but u need the two sides to have strong opinions supported by data and results. The anti's would never have a real debate because they would get torn and chewed up. We have good stats that support our views, but all they have are angry people who twist real life situations to fit there need. They try and correlate every violent act with guns being the #1 problem with nothing to back up the claim other then a gun was used in the crime. So they have no arguments in a debate, only statements which hold little water. It's much easier for them to just go public with there opinions, publish there crap, and have the sheep read and believe it.
  13. It depends, if your in the car, or outside behind it, or if your behind the engine block, or if someone is shooting under the car. There is no uniform surface to a car. A handgun round even 9mm solid point will go right through a door and depending on where it hits the second door it will go right through that one too. I've seen it happen in many videos where cars are used as target practice. Supports in the doors are not solid, and are usually just cross members, you have a 50/50 chance of having a bullet hit the sheet metal pass clean through and right through the other side, or it could be stopped by a support. Its like the difference of shooting through a window or hitting one of the pillars that support the roof. One particular video comes to mind, which is the mythbusters episode they used phonebooks to "bullet" proof a car. Your best bet would be to use the engine as cover, even then your not assured to be safe, and you still have some coverage from under using the front wheel.
  14. yeah rt 21 isnt all that bad(downtown district), it's in between there and the parkway u want to stay clear.
  15. So if i set up a robbery and have someone do it for me and he is killed i would get charge with murder in the 1st degree and all the rest? I know about the conspiracy charges and all the rest but i never herd of NJ charging assailants with the deaths of co-conspirators. If so, good for NJ.
  16. But if your robber buddy dies you dont get charge with his death...
  17. Like a formal debate? Not even worth it.
  18. I can help with long term survival, once the apocalypse strikes we need to start planting food and live off the land as much as possible. I have enough weapons and ammo to arm myself. Establishing a clean water supply and useable land and maintaining a healthy place to live, NJ can provide for us, this is the garden state. The idea is not to kill the zombies per say, but rather out last them, after a couple years they will start to die off with less and less flesh to eat. We dont want to get to year 5 and realize we killed about 500,000 zombies but are out of ammo.. hehe.
  19. Insurance companies suuuuck, even when u have full coverage.
  20. I would gladly take a system like florida has, assuming it came with the same castle doctrine. I dont have a problem with permits when there easily obtained and constitutional as well having laws in place to protect those who use deadly force. My dad just went through there CCW course and he said it was a joke, didnt learn much about how to handle a firearm, but learned a good amount of the state laws and how to stay out of jail in the event he ever needs to use it. I feel like a good permit system will actual help the pro-gunners, people -the anti's- cant complain if something happens that the state didnt try and make sure responsible carry is in place and inadvertently blame would always fall on the individual(logically).
  21. Which is why NJ would never have a law like this...
  22. Like others have said it is a lower 1/3 co-witness. I have the xps2 and the RRA eotech co-witness rear site, it's just a rear iron site attached to a riser rail. The red dot or reticule should sit just on top of the irons, i like it better this way because my rear sight does not flip down, although the front one does but you get more viewing area through the scope. If you line up the dot with the irons they will not have the same POI. Unfortunately you do not have the option to lower the sight unless you can get the original(non raised) base. Or raise your irons, but i actually prefer the 1/3 over true co-witness.
  23. There is actually more stuff in here behind the ar mags, cant really make out what is back there tho...more ammo i would think...
  24. I had no idea ray ray was a 14yr old girl....eeeps
