Situational Awareness and a great RO is key at all ranges but I am on High Alert when at Bullet Hole!! for some reason all the people who are to ignorant to learn the rules and safety of firearms tend to go there for the first shots with the new gun... I have actually seen a RO pull his gun on a guy who walked out of the port with a loaded gun pointing it at everyone behind him then turned raised his arm to point it back down range again pointing at everyone. RO called a CF told him to put his shit down then or he will get shot then pack up and leave and never come back. I never take a new shooter with me to most indoor ranges around here that are open to the public I go to Cherry Ridge or take them during the week to indoor when its slow. You don't want them to get shot or scared to death the first time out. Tends to tur

I also live in JC.. I go to bullethole as a last resort on weekends because it is a nut house and all the dumb asses come out. I joined the Cherry Ridge Range and have been so happy with it but you will drive about an hour each way. http://www.anjrpc.org/?cherry_ridge I have heard nothing but good things about RTSP located here I never went but may start next fall for winter indoor shooting. 961 New Jersey 10 Randolph, NJ 07869 (973) 434-7600 I have been here with my brother in law its only open on Sundays for some dates but great shooting environment and they limit the members so you will always get a port. this range has a lot of "old timers" who know safety and are great to talk too. http://ucnj.org/government/sheriff/pistol-range/

Tallday replied to Cemeterys Gun Blob's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
great read!!! If i was looking at this type of setup its a good way to go. As of now I love shooting my K31 and other surplus guns out to 200-300 yards! besides I don't know of anyplace in NJ were you can go out any further than that. At least near me. -

OLD GUN STOCK + KRUD KUTTER = CLEAN CRUD FREE READY TO FINNISH OLD BUT clean STOCK. I have used this on 4 of my old guns and just used no more then 200, 300, and 000 steel wool with the true oil conditioner and as many coats of the True Oil you like. I do like 5 coats and use the wool and a cheese cloth between coats. Stay clear of the barrel channel in the stock with the sand paper and the parts wear the forearm and stock meet. This is a basic you can go nutz with an Iron and wet towel to raise dings and paint, Stain or oil as you like. http://www.krudkutter.com/index.php?option=com_products&task=product&pid=4&Itemid=62 you CAN GET AT HOMEDEOPT

Someone stole a box of ammo of my porch, I'm gonna get them.
Tallday replied to capri_auto's topic in General Discussion
I live in a condo with a Package room! Last year I had a case of 9mm missing from it. I got lucky my building has a google group and all I did was post saying that Because of the content of the Package I would have to call the police and it would be a felony for having the box dew to the contents. I had it back in the room within an hour. I live in a building with a bunch of hipster antigun dumb asses. they were trying to prove a point I guess. If I were you and at least 90% it was the kid across the street tell the police (or ask a cop you know) your concern and simply ask them to knock on the door and ask if they have seen someone take a package off your porch and that the contents if stolen would put them in jail( or something to that effect).. If the kid comes to the door they may just put it back in the night. after all kids are also Dumb and have poor judgement there brains have not fully grown in the thick skulls they have. If he has any moral compass deep in his head he should at least put it back without you knowing. Also, you will never have him take another package again. Just remember Kids are stupid and do stupid things!!! If all else fails "Booby Traps Dr. Jones"! Or just catch them and press charges. -
