  1. as long as you can meet the rules Ken
  2. You need to get printed after. they will give you a form that you will need fro fingerprinting. I suggest that you use the website they give you to set up your appointment. If you do it is literally a 5 minute (- driving there) deal to get your prints done. Ken
  3. As a union electrician and a gun nut...... Freakin awesome! Ken

  5. Go to BA's website and look at the photo gallery. We are still getting some good free advertising from them! Ken
  6. I havent found a gunshop yet that speaks "bulk" or "milsurp"! For those two I have been using Ammoman in west berlin. The prices I am paying there are good and make it worth hte drive. Just make sure you call first or they may not sell to you. Kinda weird but once you see the place you will understand. It is primarilly a Wholesale and internet business. Ken
  7. A lawyer may be the only way to go. Or, he may have to let more time pass since his incident. A lot of it is up to the officer in conducting the interview also. A lawyer will know the rite process to resolve the this. There is a big grey area on approval or denying an application. Ken
  8. sadly enough, i do know people this stupid. On is a good friend of mine and I usually wind up yelling at him once or twice on trips to the range. Hes getting better though. The problem is that a lot of people are buying guns that really have no concept of firearm safety. I do! I know most here do to. Just realize that unfortunatly we are the minority and the dumb asses are the firearm regulation driving majority. Sad but true. Ken
  9. Having been in a similar predicament myself I can tell you to list it. The officer that does the interview will ask questions about it but it does not mean a rejection. Not listing something and letting them find it will usually result in a big delay at best and a flat out rejection at worst. Ken
  10. I shop at both but have not purchased a gun from the sportsman center because they never had one I was looking for. I know that the SC sells superioir cleaning supplies by far and you can find better ammo deals at SC. Both places are decent shops. Cheyanne gets really super busy and the crew behind the gun counter gets stressed out by people who are "tire kickers". If you tell them your intentions up front (just wanna look, really wanna buy, etc...) they are usually OK with it. Cheyanne will deal too. The price they have on the tag is not carved in stone. I got my M1A National Match from them for a price that only buds gunshop could beat. Ken
  11. Most unfortunately true. This topic just get me all worked up and makes me drag out the soapbox. The sheeple in this state are totally clueless. Ken
  12. I spent two years in south east DC in the hard core geto working in public schools. We had more than one truck with bullet holes in it after that (new jersey company. we dont go there anymore). We where advised by the local police that we should carry a firearm for our protection! At the time it was a crime to even own one in DC.. If everyone carried these punks would really think twice about pulling a gun on someone. Politicians do not realize that these gang banging fools are gonna get guns and use them no matter how hard they screw the law abiding citizen with firearm over regulation. I just dont get it Ken
  13. Dont worry too much. My wife smacked me in the back of the head when she saw what I posted! And.....no more speak of this pie!! I still have not got the piece I was promised when I signed up here...... Ken

    Firefox 4

Wow! That name is a blast form the past for me. I havent used that one in years! Time to go revisit Opera. As for firefox, Ill stick with 3.6 as it has proven itself to me. I will not even entertain the idea of using internet exploiter or windows for that matter. Linux is far superior. funny enough, i am on a windows machine rite now Ken
  15. At least 1000x. Maybe more..... Ken
  16. And that would be the only reason women are better! LMAO! Ken
  17. I finally got to go spend some quality time with my M1A this past weekend. I can say that I would recommend this rifle to anyone who may be thinking about it. I outshot two other more experienced people that had scoped 30-06 with my non scoped gun. I went through 400 rounds of surplus DAG ammo and left with my shoulder intact and a big grin! I got a 4" group at 300 yards!! Not too shabby for someone who hasnt been to a range in 15 years with a long gun This riffle is one of the best ones i have ever shot. The research I did here and at one other forum before my purchase guided me. Thanks NJGF
  18. Thats a great addition to my little piece! I have never been one to type too much! Ken
  19. Fiberglass pools are at the mercy of the ground and ground prep at the site of instalation. That best thing I can recomend is to get prices from the people closest to you as they are the most familiar with ground conditions in your area. Having excavated much of new jersey at one point or another I can tell you the conditions vary greatly! My neighbor had one installed by windsor pool and they did an excelelent job. I dont have (and wont have!) a pool since I wont cut down the trees nescessary to do it. Best of Luck Ken
  20. Welcome to the forum from another new guy in neighboring east windsor. Cheyane mountain will let you look at and touch guns without a FID. I know because they did with me! I guess it all depends on who is behind the counter. There is a lot of good reading here and some pretty decent people as far as I have found so far. I hope robbinsville is as quick and friendly as east windsor was. Enjoy your hobby ( I know I am!) Ken
  21. I finally got a chance to go put 200 rounds through this gun un interupted. I am quite pleased with the NM and am dam glad I went with it! I may not scope it for a while now. It will be a future upgrade but it takes the back burner for rite now since I have a 7 month old son. If anyone reads this post in the future, my advice is to go try to zero it with the stock sites first before you just throw a scope on it! I managed to get a decent group at 200 yards with moderate breeze and the occasional gust blowing uprange. I got em all in the black on a 100 yard target. I think I can do better as I adjust to this riffle. Ken
  22. aint that the truth. Over $150 to fill my truck. Shame is its an 02 and when I bought it new it was a hair less that $50 to fill it. This Flat Sux Ken
  23. Thsts some good reading NJJim. Thanks I have been recomended the elite 3200 by my brother inlaw. He has one on his 30-06 and is happy with it.
  24. The title says it all. I just picked this rifle up and would like to shoot in the 300-600 yard area. I got pretty good in the past with a 22 with a cheap scope on it at 100 yards. That was almost 20 years ago. I decided to pick up where I left off but with bigger toys! Optics are one thing I know almost nothing about but would like to learn. Any advice welcome Thanks Ken
