After Irene I decided to buy a generator. Also, I do a lot of tailgating at Giants games so I've been cooking in the alcohol camping stove and old fashioned briquette barbecue. It's ok but that novelty will wear off soon.

I bought 2 lbs of 4895 at bullet hole last week. They actually have quite a selection and price is so-so but if you want small quantity with no hazmat it's tough to best.

I have a skeletonized Timney in my best ar. It's a Rainier arms 18.5" match upper with xtc, young match chrome bolt, POF Gen III 416. The upper and lower are billet. The trigger is great.

I've been thinking about this for quite some time and decided to finally build a grendel. It's a real spare parts gun. I had an M&P 15 lower sitting around, a good LPK with a Giesele (sp?) trigger and all KNS pins, spikes pistol grip and a A2 stock. I also have a Colt flat top upper with a good BCG. I bought a used Daniel Defense 9.0 rail for 150 bucks with shipping. I have a new barrel, gas tube, delta ring, nut, low profile gas block coming from alexander arms. Given the amount of spare parts I had from various other builds (the M&P lower and Colt upper were never used) this has been really friendly on my budget. I hope to finish it next weekend. I have to have the compensator pin welded before mounting the barrel.

I think only a .308 won't work.
