  1. IMO that's exactly backwards. The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution contains the only reference to 'arms', and it states that our right to acquire and bear the best means of self-protection (arms) 'shall not be infringed' . Further, all other powers other than those explicitly enumerated in the Constitution and its Amendments, are relegated to the states. The method the states used to invent the power to 'regulate' (read 'restrict') 'arms' was through the Interstate Commerce clause. And of course liberal leaning courts went along with that. "Since arms cross state lines in commerce, we can 'regulate' them." In a complete bastardization of 'Constitutional Rights', the state of New Jersey moves all the way from 'regulating interstate commerce' to charging (read: taxing) you to exercise your natural right to self-defense enumerated in the 2nd Amendment. See what they did there?
  2. I assume that was a police dash cam, so they must have the plate number. "911. What is your emergency?" "My 2019 Corvette was stolen a few hours ago. Can you help me find it?"
  3. This morning NJ.com says: Gun permit costs would double in N.J. under Murphy’s budget plan However they provided no specifics. You know, like $50 for a P2P, or $400 for CCW.
  4. Actually, it was when he got into downtown LA that he lost them. But watching a 2019 Corvette doing well over 100 for over 40 minutes on multiple CA freeways is really something. 02/22/24: Corvette driver tops 170 mph in LA freeway chase (youtube.com) The actual chase is over when he disappears amid the high rise buildings. They lost him. https://www.carscoops.com/2024/02/corvette-driver-escapes-police-after-160-mph-chase-near-la/

  6. I for one wouldn't eliminate that possibility . "Never let a crisis go to waste" is one of the main staples of the D卐m☭crat party. In fact, since Joe Biden's regime "has F-16s", he might feel real comfortable letting in real terrorists to provide the excuse to clamp down on the rest of us. The school boards and parents who want to control their own kids haven't quite provided enough of an excuse yet. And time may be growing short.
  7. There's two Athlon ads off YouTube that both auto-play on thread pages. The result is audio that sounds like I'm in an echo chamber. Is this necessary? I don't mind ads to support the forum. But IMO auto-play with audio, and especially when it's redundant, is really annoying. Please consider stopping that. If I want to know about a product, I'll click on it.

  10. Is there something in the Warren County water? I wonder if this gentleman's 'customers' will also have a problem. (Unless all the sales were to undercovers.) Warren County man arrested for unlawful ghost gun manufacturing and sales - WRNJ Radio
  11. That's how I read it. Although there's a lot of unanswered legal questions, even just the ones I can think of.
  12. Well, as Paul Harvey used to say, "And now... the rest of the story!" And it's a doozy IMO. There's always the (news).... And then there was what really happened ... This was taken from a California gun forum .....................My friend is a local FFL that does contract work for the Police Department and Sheriff's Department where this happened and he gave me some background to this case a few days ago. The man who this stuff belonged to is in his 90s and a relative of his had to obtain legal guardianship over the man because he is suffering from advanced dementia which is why he is no longer legally allowed to possess firearms. The man has not lived in the house where his collection was stored for the better part of 6 years because he's living in a nursing home. The majority of the firearms have been owned for more than 40 years well before they were ever regulated in California and the man has possessed a special federal firearms license called a Curios and Relic license for the better part of 60 years that allowed him under California law to possess machine guns. The actual machine guns that were in the man's possession are ones that are legally owned and are registered with the NFA and the tax has been paid on them. The authorities have been well aware of what was in his possession because he registered them with the state when they required it. They're simply pretending like this man is a criminal once they found out he was no longer mentally fit to possess the firearms and gleefully seized his collection. Hat tip: PAFOA forum
  13. While I've no doubt a fair number of computer/cyber/security/hacker experts (starting with the Chinese nationals) have come across our border, the bulk of the military age male aliens are not educated enough for that. Also, you don't have to be proximate to wage cyber warfare or cause trouble. Just ask those Nigerian princes. But I can come up with several dozen ways they would be VERY effective in raising hell inside the continental U.S.
  14. IMO this guy had enough of everything. California Authorities Raid Gun Owner's Home, Seize Massive Stockpile of Firearms and Ammunition – RedState California Attorney General Rob Bonta today announced the arrest of a suspect in Richmond with a large cache of illegal firearms, including assault weapons, high-capacity magazines, and approximately one million rounds of ammunition. The suspect is alleged to be legally barred from owning weapons.

  16. I don't think so. Feel free. I'll join in. But I have a suggestion. What about a Trump Trials thread? Willis is only one of many. They're already warming up to strip Trump of his business possibly as soon as tomorrow.
  17. Well my compliments to you. I couldn't stomach it. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Bannon played it on War Room this morning. And the guy from A3P has been on many times. What was your impression of the judge (if any)? A number of comments I heard seemed to imply he sounded like a lightweight.
  18. Since the Fani Willis debacle commenced today... (Turn on the sound. It reprises The Weight)

  20. My two cents is that I put an Apex Tactical Action Enhancement kit into my 48. I liked it. If I ever go for a NJ CCW that will be one I carry. I happen to agree with HE on the dimensions of the 48. It seem to mold onto my frame well, and I can't have more than 10 rounds anyway.
  21. More gallows humor above. Overall the average is up 18% since Biden swore in. And they left out utility costs in the above list. Like electric in both PA and NJ.
