Not sure I get the whole protest Dicks thing. They never had AR's in NJ and my dealings with everyone there has been OK. I wouldn't say that they are a real gun shop but they do still carry ammo and prices are fair. That should be worth something!

If you start a negotiation with what is "acceptable" to you then you will wind up with something that is not. While most gun owners would probably surrender their firearms however there are parts of the Country that would go to war. Doesn't really matter because it won't be door to door confiscation. You are absolutely correct, these shows have brought firearms into the mainstream. I watched them prior and it took the mystery out of it for me. Now that they are gone its a big neg!
