I usually try to get together with a couple other guys and we put in one order together to split up the hazmat and shipping, provided we need different things if there's limits.

I was using a thumbler vibratory and was pretty happy with the results. After reading threads like this I broke down and picked up a model B. holy crap, I can't believe how dirty my already cleaned brass was! Wet tumbling is the only way to go if you want very clean brass. You just have to do it ahead of time so there's enough time for the cases to dry fully.

Thanks all. I've been told the xl650 doesn't agree w soft primers. Maybe I'll give cci a try.

I'm no expert but if its a decent red dot like Aimpoint etc, I would think that if you set it up that way(left eye) and zero it for that then as long as you are consistent it should send the bullet there every time.

Just some input please. I'm reloading mainly 45 ACP LPP on a Dillon xl650. My only brand so far is Winchester but I'm running low. Do different brands really matter? Say Winchester vs Federal vs CCI? Not looking to go low end or cut cost, just about using what's available.

I own two SureFire pens. They write well and are fairly discrete.

How did you get the blade so dark? Both of mine are stone washed and much lighter. Yours looks great

I'll have to look into the bolt release. I'm not a fan of my 10/22 sights either.

I would lube the release as well. Does it occur when both loaded or unloaded?

I have an 870 tactical and like it very much. The mossberg is popular as well. I'd recommend going to a range(s) that rents and shoot what you can to best gauge your preferences.

I've had good luck with riflegear. I prefer the 15/20 Pmags.

I voted for the ruger as it feels well made and comes in stainless. Looks great.

I voted full size due to better balance and slightly softer recoil. Now, if NJ ever allows CCW then I mould carry my commander size.

During work(slacks) I carry a small sebenza or a Benchmade Aphid. Weekends it usually a large sebenza.

I like the Dillon, usually let it sit for 5 minutes then wipe with a cloth and reload. You can make your own with lanolin oil and 90% alcohol but I don't recall the ratios. Try a google search for those.

Once it's sent back to the manufacturer for repairs can it be sent directly back to me or does in need to be sent to an FFL?

Yes. They are sending me some parts to replace. If I can't get it fixed they will work on it. They are great, I'm trying to avoid sending it. Would like to do it myself, or with help. Guess not many XL 650 guys on here. :-/
