  1. How about a plain jane Marlin 795 or Marlin 60? Possibly the best bangs for the buck. Each can be had for about $180 at todays panic pricing. Best after market goes to Ruger 10-22. You can make that look like anything. But a gun is like a child, the best will be the one you call your own and kiss goodnight each night.
  2. Welcome. Beautiful collection you got there.
  3. Collect the brass if you want. Else leave it and the RO sweeps after your session. No one rakes or sweeps as you shoot or ceasefire. maybe the old guy is gone though there is an old bearded guy. Could be him but reformed over time. Ceasefire can be distracting but once you get the rhythm you can use the time to load mags as long as you are doing it away from the firing line. So leave the table with mags and ammo when they call ceasefire. Or you will be left twirling your thumbs.
  4. American Eagle hv $2.99/box of 50. About 15 left as of 7 pm last night. Got my limit of 3.
  5. Thank you BLF and bulpup and for everyone who has realized what is important. I held my daughter for 12 hours not wanting to give her up to the doctors and nurses. When morning came, an older nurse came to talk and reach out to me, who gave in to my request to give my wife and I, supplies so we can bathe and dress up our daughter one last time. So for all who still has the chance, hug the ones you love and be thankful for each moment. For the ones who have forgotten, remember. I hope this clip to put it all into perspective.
  6. I cannot understand why this gun right issue is being discussed at this very moment!!???. Having buried my baby daughter 12 years ago, I would gladly give up anything: guns, rights including my life if she would have lived. As a group, I hope we show some decency, now is not the time to argue about gun control or any issue pertaining to it, but show our respects to the parents who now have the sorrowful burden of burying a child this Christmas. It is a sorrow I would not even wish for my worst enemy. God bless us all.
  7. +1 on the methodology. Surely you will be an informed consumer.
  8. I got kids and a wife, we will follow our plan.
  9. Congrats to both of you. I like the cake topper. Being gun enthusiasts, having the bride hold a shotgun would also have been a fitting cake topper.
  10. We all have a lot to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving to all! I'll be on the road to Mississagua within the hour to eat some smoked Canadian turkey tomorrow.
  11. Hi-points are known to stove pipe if the person shooting grips it in a way to absorb some of the recoil. Since it relies on the simple blowback operation of a heavy slide, the frame has to be gripped firmly, if not, the energy/recoil impulse absorbed by the shooter will taken off the slide recoil thus slide will not fully cycle resulting in a stove pipe.
  12. Seems like you're experience with Hi-points' limited to carbines. I have the carbine, it is very reliable. As to where you got the impression that I am implying the lack of experience with being a snob is a mystery to me.
  13. Have you ever shot one or gave it a fair shake to say the least?
  14. Sportsman's Rendevouz in Flemington. Normally they're out, but if you go to their store and make a $50 deposit they will order one for you. Of course they will try to steer you into buying a more expensive pistol.
  15. Inox, beautiful! I still remember the first day I fondled one in the dark galley of Ray's many years ago...
  16. Looks like you re comfortable with polyframe pistols. See if you can get your hand on a SigSauer SP2022. One ofthe few that comes with standard 15round mag like the Glock19 and Ruger P95 also very and solid pistols. Its usually around $400 -$450.
  17. Time to do another ammo run. Thanks for posting this Krdshrk.
  18. BTW you have to be owner/co-owner of the business. Parents' business does not constitute ownership.
  19. As far as I know only with the boundaries of the rental unit/apt/business and not an inch beyond that. Does not include common areas such as parking lot, hallways and the like.
