Regarding "it's too heavy". If this is for clay sports you're only holding the gun for 3 seconds at a time. Between shots waiting for your turn you are resting your barrel on the pad. its 95% waiting your turn 5% shouldering it. Maybe atshootup meet ups people are holding the gun in their hands all the time to not offend the loaner. i see guys with $7k guns resting on the pads. rest. Relax

    HURICANE Maria

The CONCRETE telephone poles got blown over that's incredible
  3. I get that all else equal you would never voluntarily pick a town that is outright firearm biased. Because your enjoyment would be stifled. But I think for longer term happiness you should be thinking about the town taxes as percentage of cost of house first and then the permits to concur yours plans or not. If youre rich and it doesn't matter, then you might not care.
  4. Am I the only one who got the awesome joke about the house used to be a gas station?
  5. Best video review of this gun is that guy from Thunder Ranch. Compare that to the Hickock45 review and boy you really learn a lot.
  6. So besides for HD of course to save your ears if you are shooting in your house, but for most of us who will never be in a place where we would shoot a pistol outdoors on private land tell me when suppression is usable? If even ONE person at the range is shooting non suppressed you gotta keep your ears on. Believe me I'm not being a hater. I will be first to buy threaded pistol for the home (after i learn pros and cons of fumbling in dark to put on the can because nobody has a pistol box large enough to keep the can on

    Irma?

The issue of "why don't people common sense have storage already?" My guess is it boils down to SPACE. That would be the first issue for me. Where would I keep 40 gallons of fuel? I'm not just thinking containers but I mean location? Don't want it in the attached garage. So then where else? Even ten cases of water. Most people's homes as jammed with clutter already. produce a creative way to store water and fuel for a typical house With typical family and I'll bet you get rich.

    Irma?

Regardless wheee it goes both models have it a CAT5 at landfall I believe. One run said like 870mb.
  9. Why do professional landscapers with years of experience still do the mulch volcano? It's indisputable that it's a major No no but yet they still do.
  10. The Hubble module is CAT5 size plug. Not regular phone size. BR 866JC. And also the pins don't line up. So I'm back to the drawing board.
  11. KRD you lost me there. But the CAT5 nuances you mentioned don't matter for this. The CAT5 wired in the hiuse all goes to a separate block. My ordeal right now is regular ol POT. The back of modem is POT I just need a POT female on the block. I just ordered the Hubble it will arrive in 2 days.
  12. This info will help: It's a new house. The guy who wired the house ran the POT from the rooms all down to the basement and fed them onto the block and ended it there. I guess the iseas was to leave it open ended for homeowner to decide optiimum or VZ. So here I am with a wired block and a modem and I just want to connect the two. So remember there is no "original" phone connection. The alarm is all cellular. do I plug the Hubble adaptor onto the pins horizontal or vertical? I'm guessing vertical right i want to make contact with at least two of the 4 wire POT right? I don't need to touch the pins on the "other side" of block because I'm just melding the modem to the POT wire coming from upstairs. Right ?
  13. FXD I think that will do it ! So my guess is that that plug I have to match up to the pins that go to the kitchen wall line. I will try to make that first. Then if I want other rooms I'm going to have to cross jumper them somehow right ?
  14. To clarify more. My end goal is to have a female RJ jack added to that block. If that wasn't clear. I want to connect the female modem side to to block with a male to make POT wire.
  15. Its 6 pin and the unused wire is is just wrapped around the sheathing. Yes I need to bridge across the pins somehow. How do I go across the pins and have a RJ jack on the side that will lead to the modem? I'd like to try to do it myself unless the punch tool is necessary. I will attach a pic tonight. It's a 66B Is there such thing as a RJ plug that snaps onto those pins?
  16. House has 5 rooms of 4 wire phone lines connected to one 66 block in basement. I want to connect my Optimum modem so I can complete VoIP which I am getting in my triple play. I have no idea how to take the modem RJ jack and connect it to the 66 block. Ideally I would love one phone wire to from the modem to plug into one RJ jack in the 66 block and have all 5 rooms working. I'm guessing that involves a complicated cross chain in the block right? If that is complicated I'd suffice with just ONE line in the 66 block, the kitchen run to get connected to the modem. This way I can have my land line base station be in the kitchen and not the basement where the modem is. yeah yeah; buy a multi satellite cordless phone and then plug direct into back of modem then who cares where the base is right? But if the house is wired nice why not attempt to keep it nice? Optimum refuses to connect the modem to the 66 block and it's not like I can call Verizon and ask them to connect a cable phone line.

    Apex flat triggers

Did you guys install the flat triggers yourself?
  20. If you're moving try offering it to the new people. 50 cents on dollar. Yeah you're taking a loss but the aggravation is priceless. You have to offer it that cheap to really entice next people to not refuse a good deal. Use proceeds to upgrade at next place.
  21. I guess somehow I joined Apex email list. I have their earliest simple trigger enhancements they are great. Now I'm bombarded with blue and red flat trigger emails. What is the real advantage of that flat trigger. I'm sure it's "better" but better for what/who? Is it shorter pull? Is it mostly for competition? Would it be used in duty? I'm extremely happy with my M&P trigger as is. Just wondering what I gain in a flat.
  22. Anybody who says you don't need an attorney to transact a house is lucky enough to live in a fantasy world where douche bags don't exist. Whats the fee? 0.5% of the deal? thank god I had a lawyer when I sold my place. We had to cancel two buyers for cause and one of them was going to sue to keep the transaction thank god I had a pitbull attorney on my side
  23. I wonder if there are any people who answered "AR" when asked "what home defense weapon would you choose ?" But then would argue for a pump shotgun over semi shotgun. Know where I'm going with this?
