  1. henry is in NJ. if they shipped direct to you i wouldn't worry about it. they know the laws here and i doubt they would break them. then again IANAL
  2. COE = certificate of eligibility. you fill one out for every long gun.
  3. no fords are pricey because most of them are piles of rust. so the ones that are still around command a premium.
  4. Tonight I'm drinking my go to, Guinness. However, I'm longing for my favorite beer, Augustiner from Munich. I've only been able to find it one time at a World Of Beer in Florida. I'd even settle for a Erdinger, my favorite weissbier. they usually have some at my local liquor store but its expensive so i only get it once in a while. Stiegl is another beer i can rarely find that i like.
  5. honestly just use which ever one you want. as long as its pinned and doesn't move then you're good to go. i believe i used a 1/8th pin that was 1/2 inch long. i cut it in half and drilled 2 holes so there are 2 pins in my stock just to be sure. i also just pinned the friction lock and not into the buffer tube.
  6. what valdtepes said, what do you consider a "decent price"? like i said earlier check out midwestpx. his new lowers are sweet and the price is great for a billet lower. the little set screws for the takedown pin detent and bolt release and the upper/lower tension screw are nice features too. add a lower parts kit and you should be able to get the free shipping.
  7. they dont make guns they modify guns. i dont see what modifications anyone could do to a glock that would cost $2000. thats assuming the other $500 is for the pistol.
  8. while i wouldn't pay for one i think it looks pretty good. the only thing i don't like is the holes cut into the slide. i just feel like that's one more place for dirt/lint to get into the slide and cause a malfunction. everything else seems to have a purpose and no drawbacks other than personal preference. undercut the trigger guard and reshape the beaver tail to get a higher grip. adding stippling for a better grip. lighten the trigger for better control. match barrel for better accuracy. they just have to keep that wolff spring out of there because it wasn't designed to use a single strand spring and it should be fine. from what i can gather that was the only malfunction this pistol had in 25000+ rounds. if they didn't mill the slide they wouldn't have had to use the wolff spring and that would have solved that problem.
  9. no, maybe ill check him after the M11-A1 purchase.
  10. Im looking a gen 4. They use the same frame as the 21 which I've held and it just points so much better for me. And I want 15 round mags not 10. Everywhere I find wants $650-700 for what I want.
  11. so i got my permits in and no local shop has a glock 20 in stock. and to order it they want way over what i'm willing to pay for a glock so that has been put on hold. one shop does have a sig m11-a1. i held one 2 weeks ago when i was in florida and didn't really like it. i saw it here and decided to give it another shot and it actually felt pretty good. i think the grips were different on the one in the florida shop. so i think that's the route i'm going for my first permit. no decision yet on my second permit.
  12. THIS^^^^^ the hardest part is figuring out what parts you want and waiting for them to become available. once you get the parts you'll be gearing up for a full day of building only to be finished in a half hour. it is really kinda anti-climatic and disappointing. that is until you realize you have a new toy to play with!!
  13. which brake did you get? and you much be frustrated at this point. i would be. hell i'm frustrated i can't find the barrel i want for my build.
  14. i would suggest looking at forum vendor MidwestPX. his new lowers are solid, pinned pmags cant be beat, and i have heard nothing but good things about the rest of his branded parts. plus he has 1:8 barrels. always fast shipping and pleasant to deal with.
  15. i just see all that as a waste. the gains are minimal and the money and time spent is huge. for a competition gun i could see spending that amount because when you have sponsors, who cares. for the average run of the mill range toy/HD gun there is no need. its just trying to fix something that already works fine
  16. Measure to the gas port. 7 inches should be carbine. And just because it has carbine length hand guards doesnt mean the gas system is carbine length. I have a rifle length hand guard on my 14.5 inch middy 5.56 barrel.
  17. No he could have just thought it was a carbine length when its really a pistol length. Or shore shot could have made that mistake too. There is a slim chance they ripped him off too. I've never been there but I've heard of some shady stuff goin on there in the past. check the rollmarks on the barrel and cross reference with noveske.
  18. Noveske doesn't make carbine length gas system 300 blk barrels. All of them are pistol length. If you are honestly that worried about it just get a pistol length with an h2 or h3 buffer. It will soften the felt recoil and probably still run supers reliably.
  19. You can also put a heavier buffer in the carbine lengthto soften up the recoil.
  20. I think noveske is the only one. Back orderd everywhere and $450 everywhere except direct from them. I'm either getting that or the DD 16 inch carbine length.. Whichever comes in stock first when I have the funds. My most inportant requirement is that its CHF and those are the 2 that make it that way that I found.
  21. 4-12x should be fine out to 500. You don't need to see your holes. Just the same spot on the target.
