  1. That was mine, I was selling an extra one I had. Traded it last week.
  2. Ditto on a red dot at 100yds and in. If you are set on a scope what is "relatively inexpensive"? The leatherwood cmr 1-4 is a great scope for the money. Glass is clear, reticle is great, and its built really well. They can be found used for under $250. For a little bit more the vortex pst 1-4 is a great scope and its built like a tank. I just bought one for $425 shipped from primary arms during their mem day sale.
  3. Looks great, glad we had the bayo you needed!
  4. Same shop. On another note if you join Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club we have archery ranges on premises. Not only do you get to shoot you can also teach the kiddies archery...
  5. My local archery shop told me the same thing (I'm near Bayville where the shop is, duno if it's the same shop you went to in OC). It seems he is right that there are no local ordinances about it, but you need to be on top of your kids when they are using the equipment bc one loose arrow could turn into one nasty lawsuit...
  6. Ordered from midwest. Excellent service as always, already have a tracking #!
  7. Thanks guys. I was looking last night and cant find any in stock anywhere atm anyway so its a moot point for now. I already ordered the extended rail for it bc I like to grip closer to the muzzle than the original rail allowed. I will look into the selector set for it.
  8. I dream of one day making it to the free states. I was in NH for work a few years ago and went into a shop where I wanted to purchase a rifle. We had a brief misunderstanding when I asked him what the "out the door" price was for the rifle. He asked me what I was talking about with a perplexed face. Apparently there is no tax or NICS fee in NH. I never wanted to move more in my life. Needless to say I left with the rifle lol.
  9. Just have the 16 right now. How badly I want to punish my checking acct will determine whether I grab the 17 to go with it. Very tempting with the deals for them at $2560. Eventually I will graduate to the big boys club
  10. Thanks, thats what I thought (and was hoping bc Ive been using it with the gen 3's).
  11. I have a 16, any insight on whether they work in that or not?
  12. Im pretty sure the gen 3 pmags are good to go with it no? And the gen 2s are ok as long as the feed lips are dremelled a bit.
  13. Thanks Midwest thats what I wanted to know. I think Im gonna find someone who has one and try to shoot it before I drop the coin on one.
  14. How does the break compare to an SSA or SSA-E? Is there as much of an improvement over the stock trigger as there is in an ssa vs mil-spec trigger?
  15. I am looking at getting the super scar trigger and was wondering if any of you have experience with it. I have SSA triggers in all my ar's and as a consequence I am finding the stock scar trigger somewhat lacking. Anyone who has had time behind it please chime in. I would be especially interested to know how it feels compared to an SSA or SSA-E. Thanks!
  16. Wow thats f'ed up. Tell them to suck it up and pull em from anither gun. If you needed any plate but the rmr I would loan it to you until you got one. Im using my rmr plate on mine already though.
  17. In the late 90's early 2000's you could buy a running hmmwv from lakehurst for around 5k. Running deuce and a halfs were less. I wish we woulda bought em before the govt changed the drmo purchase arrangement. Now everythings run thru the web and it jacked up everyones prices.
  18. Did you look in the suppressor holder? Thats where mine were, no idea why. Nice purchase, I love mine and have a ton of fun with it every time it comes out.
  19. Anyone get this light and have feedback? DSG has em for $165 shipped in stock and I am thinking about getting one.
  20. So...interested in an update on your experience. What happened?
  21. I live on the bay and we keep our windows open most of the time. I bought a few of the rechargeable dehumidifiers and take them out to dry every 2 weeks. They have a color indicator that lets you know when they are saturated.
  22. No experience with the 34/35 but there is a big difference between my gen 4 g19 & g23. Like night and day. That being said I have both primarily for a shtf scenario, I dont really enjoy shooting either.
  23. Also attended the course last night. As the others said it was a great basic skills class to assess your gear and learn what is needed as a first response to traumatic injuries. It was great to have an explanation of what actually happens during a GSW to your torso or extremity, and the different ways to treat it. Then it went a step further and showed us the different brands/products available to treat the various wound types and they gave demo's on how to use them. The class shed a new light for me on what to have at a bare minimum while at the range/in your car to be prepared for an emergency. The class is definitely a value at $100/ 4 hours compared to classes at other venues. I would take further classes in specific categories if offered.
  24. Thats alot of scratch for the gun... If it was me I would make the guy an offer below asking. If he doesn't take it, buy the other two and hawk gunbroker/gunsamerica/armslist for a better deal on an elite even though they are rare.
