  1. Good question. There are several companies that make lockers like stackon. They are relatively inexpensive. But all guns sold recently, not sure how long, come with a lock. I have a box full of them. Can't bear to throw them out. I bet a lot of us have a bunch of them lying around. I have 2 safes. Kind of like them a lot, never thought I would appreciate them like I do but 3 kids will do that to you. My first safe I got from my dad for a wedding present along with a few guns.
  2. Should've shot them into to a bucket of milk.

  4. One question, some have the perforated shroud. I do not, I like the solid. But do those of you that have them find that stuff gets in the shroud frequently? In tough use? I understand the ventilation thing, but any other pro that trumps the con of crud factor?
  5. +1 About the failure to eject an FtF round, when this controversy started on here I dig out my happy little pachmyr snap caps, lost all bit 3 of them. So I loaded them up and cycled the action. No problem. Did it again, No problem. Maybe the weight of the snap caps is different. Mine was made in nov 12. I read through the other forum. Didn't have any of the issues other than my sling attachment point was on backwards and the screw was torqued so tight that I had to use locking pliers to get it out. Otherwise a great weapon for what it is intended. Shoulders well, at least for me. And those that I let operate it enjoyed it as well. But the price...all cool/good things cost money. However, sometimes I use a screwdriver as a punch. If I don't have a punch...not as good as a punch but gets me out of a jam at that moment because I wasn't expecting the task to require a punch. I then go back to using the screwdriver for screwing.
  6. S = $6.67 L = $13.33 Here's the explanation: She has $15, which is what is left when she spent half her money on the purse, so before she spent that, she had $30. She started off with 50 and spent $20 on the lipstick and shampoo. The next step is the classic scenario of when questions hide the essence of the question by introducing lots of words. If I told you this part was all about simultaneous equations, would that help? Normally lipstick and shampoo are 2 separate things, but a relationship has been established in the question for them: the shampoo is half the cost of the lipstick. We can assign any letter we like but "L" seems appropriate for lipstick. S = 0.5L Now we know that she spent $20 on lipstick and shampoo, we can create an equation. 20 = L + S We can substitute the S for 0.5 L using the relationship established earlier: 20 = L + 0.5L This is the same as writing 20 = 1.5L Then, simply divide both sides by 1.5 to get the price of L which is $13.33. We already know that S = 0.5L, but now you know the value for L you can rewrite it as: S = 13.33 * 0.5 Which is a simple multiplication: S = $6.67 If you really want, we can over complicate things by writing an equation for everything: x = money she has left after all her purchases y = starting money b = cost of the bag s = shampoo l = lipstick x = y - s - l - b 15 = 50 - s - l - b b = x = 15 15 = 50 - 15 - s - l 15 = 35 - s - l s + l = 20 Straight from ask.com
  7. Last one out of NJ, turn out the lights.

  8. This not them backing down. It is a tactic. I agree, it would have been better to have it come up and defeated. They are not dumb. Or done.
  9. Good gag. I looked. By the way, I have some ladies (17)in my employ and every year I give them a rose and a little Godiva for St. Valentine's day. This year I added a Lipstick bodyguard. I was interested in what the response would be. To a one, they were ecstatic. I received numerous calls from husbands/boyfriends thanking me and wondering how they didn't think of it. Great show. Great champion of our freedoms. Thanks Anthony.
  10. What an unbelievable idea. They sell LED light strings that you can program to a spectrum of colors. I saw them at max is a back. Wait. Wait, lets write a phone app and control them via wifi. . Christmas, green st pats, pastel colors for Easter, r+w+b for July fourth, orange for Halloween add browns thanksgiving. Then we're back to ho ho ho. Put 'em up once. And you can do it in nice weather. Ka-Ching
  11. The one issue is that you can't shoot it on the pistol range at CR. 50 yds is no fun with a .45, not to mention that it received more than its share of nosey old-timers attention. Gotta go indoor.
  12. Not to mention it irretrievably twists anti's panties. Ha, that rhymes.
  13. Did you get any responses? I heard GunForHire radio this weekend and Anthony mentioned you. I sure hope people in those communities and on this board stepped up and contacted you. We can b*tch all we want. Only action will make a difference.
  14. Unfortunately, this may be the new normal. Put yourself in any ammunition supplier's position. Toyota discovered this some 30 years ago. Why sell 5 $5k Corollas when you can sell 1 $35k Lexus. Only "luxury" ammo is around. As we reward gouging, they will continue. The average price has been reset--as has the mindset. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope that market theory comes through for us and eventually panicky demand will go down. Or else there are going to be a lot fewer gun owners.
  15. That is a great point, +1 In the aftermath of the tragedy, my town school board hired a "consultant" to help them prepare should a "crisis" happen. They met with principals and teachers. Paid the consultants half a million dollars. They came up with "crisis clipboards" in every classroom. The teachers lauded it as a great example of their input. The clipboards have check lists of what they should do if one of certain "crisis" happens. For half that I would have given them each a bear spray and taught them how to use it.
  16. School in same area is going to have a gym full of guys in BDUs. Who are they going to call? The FBI? We have flown off the tracks here. And there is a subtle attack on uniforms recently. There were just some virgin Atlantic pinheads that didn't allow an active duty british woman to wear her uniform on a flight back to the US where she is stationed. Because she may offend some one. They made her change. The airline apologized saying that the staff at heathrow misapplied the policy. Really? Now these low level counter personnel can act on their political beliefs and control others? Unbelievable. I've been ranting a lot lately. Gotta calm down. But it seems like every day there something like this that sets me off. Here's the link to the school that "good" on uniforms: http://m.clickondetroit.com/news/Mich-Army-National-Guard-soldiers-deploying-to-Afghanistan-to-get-send-off-at-Corunna-school/-/16732600/19349144/-/u7t1ktz/-/index.html Mich. Army National Guard soldiers deploying to Afghanistan to get send-off at Corunna school CORUNNA, Mich. - Soldiers from the 144th Military Police Company of the Michigan Army National Guard will be given a send-off as they prepare for deployment to Afghanistan. Relatives and friends will gather Sunday afternoon in the Corunna High School gymnasium for the ceremony. Corunna is about 65 miles northwest of Detroit. The soldiers will receive about 30 days of mobilization training at Fort Bliss, Texas, before departing for Afghanistan. Officials say more than 700 Michigan National Guard soldiers and airmen are deployed across the globe.
  17. How do we fight this suspension of common sense? Maybe we should start a suspension of spending. Maybe we should hit them where it makes a difference. We should all begin a boycott of everything. Hold on to your cash. Only bare necessities, and whenever possible only those on our side. Lets force their hand. Eventually it's gonna happen anyway. Lets manage it, before it manages us. Could be the scotch talking. I'll revisit when more reasonable.
  18. Those that protect us all wear camouflage. Now we are in a new hell.
  19. Illegal- they consistently break their own statutory time limits. Not to mention the Brady bill requirements concerning "instant" As for the discriminatory aspect of the current system on the disabled... Give me a minute...
  20. Bravo! My support, both moral and financial, are with the NJ2AS and ANJRPC. My family and I appreciate all the hard work. The rallies were awesome. I am sure that we can get some great elected leaders out of this community of advocates for freedom.
