$99 NRA Basic Pistol course (Sunday 2/16)
Arizona replied to Jfoster99's topic in Training Techniques and Tools
Do you supply the handguns? -
Driving around w/ pistol caliber carbine in trunk?
Arizona replied to illy's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
They changed the cards to only say purchase. Why did they do this if possession is legal. Bottom line is NJ statutes contradict each other. Transportation laws say " firearms". Why don't they say handguns if they only apply to handguns? -
NJ Senator Mike Doherty intorduced legislation
Arizona replied to NEAHS's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
The only real good part of this bill is that county sheriffs are ELECTED! How many people are that passionate about their county sheriff elections? Well if they can approve permits then we 2a people will suddenly become VERY interested in those elections. Support our rights, get permits done in 30 days or LOSE YOUR JOB! What's not to like? -
It only takes this long because they don't give a rats ass about your rights and don't do their jobs. Period. Do you think people are working on your permits everyday for 6 months? It's sitting there collecting dust. NJFID is unconstitutional because you must give up your 5th amendment rights to exercise your 2nd.

Not eligible to vote yet. If I could afford a life membership I would get it just to vote for you! Good luck. If you don't get on the NRA board please consider leading a new NJ 2A organization. God knows the NJ2AS is going down the shitter fast!!!!!!

If you have ever been to Anthony's range you will quickly realize he does NOT need nj2as. He would be wise to separate himself from the ridiculous sh!t going on there. I believe he probably lost respect for the leadership awhile back but towed the line. People need to be honest with themselves and ask is this really the man (FJF) that I stand behind 100%. Is he the BEST person to lead the group with all the challenges and pressures that lie ahead? If he can't take a couple of guys calling him out then probably gonna have more problems in the future. What really pisses me off is that he told the members to go out and apply for their NJ CCW but apparently he nor anyone in the leadership group applied for theirs. Hypocrites
-
Look I'm not trashing the guy he did a lot of hard work and got the organization to where it is today. But he is clearly not the person to take the orginazation to the next level. I know some of you feel for the man because of his past efforts but deep down you can't seriously think things will go well from this point forward with him at the helm. You can't put the genie back in the bottle.

Your right I was at that meeting in Toms River. Frank should share his experience applying with the members. Did he have trouble getting forms? Did they tell him he'd be denied? What did he list for justifiable need? Did they know who he was? I don't remember him telling us how it went for him back when he asked everyone to go to the PD and ask for the forms. Just sayin
-
I get that. My issue is if your going to ask people to do this make it count for something otherwise what's the point? You already know your going to get denied. You don't have to actually apply to know that. Aren't you curious if the nj2as leadership have applied yet? What about Frank? But hey if you want to apply so you can get your denial go for it!

Just thinking, will the new law passed in NJ that has to do with firearm applicant privacy prohibit PDs from informing employers that you are applying for a firearm ? I've read the law a number of times and it seems as the law may cover this practice. They can just as easily verify employment without disclosing your application for a firearm. Thoughts?

Thank you Jeremy Perez for having the courage to stand up for your rights when 1,000 before you did not. A great example of how sacrifice will be necessary to win these battles. You also had a great attoney. Thank you Mr. Nappen. Please get the word out that NO ONE need comply with illegal additional requirements.
-
Right. No one knows. My point is how do you present concrete VERIFIABLE data if you have not planned on a means to acquire it? Maybe they have and they're keeping it a secret. Are they just going to ask people to apply and then sue? They better have their ducks in a row and a good plan if these well meaning people go through the trouble to apply. I expect ALL of the Nj2AS leadership to apply and share their experience with the members.
-
While I 100% support the idea behind CLASP the project has no timeline, no goals as to the number of participants, no means to verify how many have actually applied, no stated end game and a disclaimer that your completely on your own. Hardly a way to motivate people. IMHO there should be a pre-determined date for a mass application. Set a participant goal and alert the politicians, media etc. that this is happening. Who cares about delays in processing? This is about denials, period. I know this is a grassroots effort but NJ2AS does have membership dues so I was hoping this would be a little more organized. By the way does anyone know if Frank Fiamingo has summited his application yet?

They all acted unprofessionally. Trooper screaming at the civilians " EYES FRONT!!!! WHY YOU LOOKING AT ME!!!!??" Really?

I believe in the 1st amendment as much as the 2nd. Let people speak freely even if you don't like what they have to say. Please don't lecture me on what my opinions should be.

Nj assembly bills going to Christie
Arizona replied to johnnyrebel70's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
One day Christie won't be governor....can you imagine what they will hit us with.... -
Such a violation of our rights. You can't have access to YOUR property. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.
