Holy crap, Dan and Shyanne were there today. We all went to dinner afterwards! I did not put 2+2 together here! Dan brought Shyanne and his younger son to the protest. We discussed this and I will be getting back to Alex Roubian with more info. I sat across from Shyanne. She was a joy with a keen sense of humor! I did not realize that that little one is a better shot than me! But considering the fact that I suck! That is not so hard!!!

Having a coworker who knew Carol well, I have inside information about the Berlin PD and how they treated her and her situation. Such as the killer had previously shot out the window of her home! She went to the police to have him arrested and they told her it was just a BB gun and not enough cause for arrest!!! This was from her mouth!!! I guess Berlin PD did not realize that in the PRNJ, a BB gun is a rifle!!! Same as if he shot a 30.06 at her windows! She was scared to death of this guy (LITERALLY) and the Berlin PD knew it as she asked them for help many times and even went to their headquarters a few days before she was murdered to ask why her permit has taken 2 months!!! When later questioned after her death, the chief said he was not aware that by NJ Statute, he was legally bound to issue within 30 days! This whole thing makes me sick and is the reason I was at Senator Steven Sweeney's house today carrying a sign with Carol's face on it putting the blame for her death on him for the laws he passed as senate president that allowed the Berlin PD to drag their feet and let her become yet another innocent person who died at the hands of a convicted felon because Sweeney does not trust us to carry guns for self protection!!! Yay! I was on TV again!!! Not my first time though. I was on an episode of "Hoarders, Buried alive" and also "Pawn Stars". BTW, I hate seeing myself on TV! Being the third time, perhaps the curse is broken now! I was glad to see the clip, albeit short! Alex had some airtime and even though they spent equal time interviewing Sweeney, he had NO airtime to give his side! YAY!!! WE WIN!

No, just Doug Shimell and his cameraman from channel 10. The fact that we were doing this was not advertized so as to catch Sweeney off guard! If he knew we were coming, he would not have been there to fully enjoy our presence now would he? Channel 10 was there because we called them.

Thank Vlad. The nonsense quote in blue was not my thoughts, but a post on another site. Can you suggest a kit and a sit to get it from? I checked tons of sites last night and cant seem to find one complete kit with everything in it. I have the bullet guide installed and really don't want to mess with the gas tube. My 2 choices are tacticool like my ARs or traditional with wood furniture (I like this idea better)! I just can't tell if the wood is ok for the Saiga without moving the gas tube. Thanks in advance Vlad for any further advice you can give me.

It went well today! Sweeney was pissed and had several West Deptford PD cars parked across the street to protect him from us! What a joke!!! Channel 10 showed up and interviewed us and then Sweeney. Watch channel 10 news at 11PM.

That's what you get for trying to reload .22s!!! Never had that happen to me yet but I have heard of it happening. It's not your gun, don't even know if it's bad ammo. I think it's more like a few things going wrong at the exact same time. Could happen at anytime to anyone!

I have a Saiga IZ132 in original condition except for it has the bullet guide installed and the mag release has been shaved down to use both Saiga and standard AK mags. I have not decided yet to do a full conversion but I have read on other forums statement like below. Absolutely great rifle and I left mine unconverted. The trigger is rough but breaks in nicely. The weapon needs virtually zero maintenance to run reliably. If you decide to use any legally owned 10+ round magazines be aware of 922r compliance. All you need to to is switch out the handguard with an American one (i.e. Tapco) to get your parts count right. Am I not in compliance with 922r if this is the only mod to the rifle and I do use a 15 round AK mag???

Some really good reports on this ammo for accuracy. Ballistic gel tests show it is frangible and thus a great in home defense round. No worry of over penetration like with FMJ!
