  1. Thanks OG, I like the the fact it is single and double action and has a decocker like my Sigs!
  2. I love revolvers but the reload time VS pistols with extra mags is just not good.
  3. Thanks GRIZ, The 15 round capacity is not as important to me as its ability to reliably eat most ammo.
  4. Including the cheap Remington Thunderbolt crap bulk ammo. I have so much of that ammo it's nuts and I need a pistol that can reliably feed and fire it so I can get rid of it all! I have a Sig P220 and P229 that I can get conversion kits for but they are way too bulky. I also have a High Standard "The Victor" that will eat almost anything but is only 10 rounds. 15 round capacity would be sweet! I love CCI mini mag .22LR ammo but I can't get it for 20 bucks a brick anymore. Any advice appreciated!
  5. Vote out Sweeney and a few more anti gun politicians and we could possibly get this idea passed.
  6. If Dick's was the only gun store in the USA, with 558 stores that's only 14 bricks per store per day. CCI needs to expand their operation! Why would a for profit company that has every round sold for 10 years out not increase it's profits by increasing it's production to meet demand??? I went to Cabella's in Delaware a few weeks ago and with all of the isles of ammo, there was one big gap on a shelf with a sign that read "Sorry, NO .22 AMMO"
  7. If successful, the records are said to be "expunged". Black's Law Dictionary defines "expungement of record" as the "Process by which record of criminal conviction is destroyed or sealed from the state or Federal repository." From Wikipedia If such records are destroyed or sealed from the state or federal repository, how can they see it?????? If they can see it, it's not really expunged!!! This is illegal activity IMHO!!!!
  8. Removal from the bench is okay but why do you want to take away his gun rights??
  9. A relative of mine works for the company that manages the power grid for much the east coast. I was told there are a shitload of things that could happen to take the entire grid down for 6 months or more. Terrorist attacks on the right targets could bring down the grid for a very long time with an RPG or other shoulder fired weapons. A cyber attack could also bring it down. The Sun could also cause it. Our biggest threat is losing the grid! BY FAR!!! In 30 years or so, AI WILL be a very BIG problem.
  10. I just bought a case from them. Got it a week ago and noticed the bottom of cardboard case looked like it had gotten wet. I pulled out the boxes and the shells on the bottom row were rusted and corroded. About 20 rounds were unusable so I called Midway and they sent me a free replacement box of 25 and told me to just keep the damaged shells. I was able to clean up most of them. Go for it! They have great customer service! They also told me the warehouse would be immediately ordered to check all remaining stock for damage so you should be fine.
  11. Amen Brother!!! I was in the Navy back in the 70s but I am certain that would mean squat as far as getting CCW in the PRNJ. Our "ONLY HOPE" here is for a SCOTUS ruling in our favor due to the 9th and 3rd Circuit Court's rulings being contradictory. I don't know if that's possible given the makeup of SCOTUS today. There are an awful lot of barriers in our way as I see things. 1) The next POTUS will have a say in the makeup of SCOTUS as Ginsberg is in failing health. 2) The next POTUS must be a Republican in order to change the leaning of SCOTUS. 3) The Republicans do not yet have a candidate who is popular enough to win in 2016. Christie is NOT a true Republican! 4) We need to pray since the deck is obviously stacked against us!!! 5) I would say move to Mipa's neighborhood but PA's new Governor and sitting AG may change things for PA going forward!
  12. I just picked up 250 rounds for $97 shipped! Not bad for 00 buck! Thanks!!!
  13. As of today the 9th Circuit ruled NO justifiable need in CA Now how about us in the PRNJ??? Law-abiding Californians may not need to justify their need to carry concealed weapons, after the same three-judge panel that struck down restrictions on the permits earlier this year ruled Wednesday that it is too late for new opponents to join the fight against the ruling. The decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals would bar other law enforcement officials, including state Attorney General Kamala Harris, from appealing its ruling in a case originally brought by an independent journalist who sued the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department over its policy of requiring a specific reason for being allowed to carry a concealed weapon in public.
  14. By Fox News.... BREAKING STORY!!!!
  15. I just broke in a blue-stone holster for my Sig P220 which arrived just today! I could not even get the pistol in all the way. The inside leather is more rough. I wet it with hot tap water then placed my Sig in a plastic gallon size food storage bag. I waited a few minutes for the moisture to soak into the leather, then placed the bag covered Sig in the holster. I left it in for 2 hours then let the holster dry, even used a blow dryer to speed the drying. I put the pistol back in and now it fits like a glove! Try it!!! PS. My Son wanted to know why I would even buy a holster when I can't carry in the PRNJ....I responded, wishful thinking!!!
  16. Thanks paulblank, Picked up a Sig P229 .40 cal Stainless Elite for $799 today! I think the price was good based on what I saw online! Came with 2 extra Sig mags.
  17. Got my P2ps in about 3 weeks! I have not requested a P2P in at least 20 years yet my local PD did not mention the online form. They just took the one form and $4.00. They never contacted my references or my employer. I don't get why it was so easy for me???
  18. It helps us by informing us that NJ has sucked for a very long time! It further informs us that there is VERY little hope for change from within the PRNJ. The only hope is a Federal ruling that will negate NJ state law regarding our 2A rights!!! But, and this is a Big but.....That does not mean we should EVER stop trying to change things here!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Only one! "people don't kill people, GUNS KILL PEOPLE" Thank you! I read through the thread quickly and subsequently missed the point. In that scenario, they would indeed be useful!
  20. I understand the possible up side to these tags and stickers but if I saw that luggage tag, I would sure as hell think the owner had something to hide. Forget places like airports and if a LEO sees this tag on a bag in your trunk, he is already looking in your trunk which means you gave consent, he has probable cause or a warrant anyway.
