  1. I have an Umberti lever and have not noticed a floppy trigger. Gun is super solid all around. Are any other lever action rifles subject to this besides Marlin?
  2. A shop by me has two .357 16" lever Rossi's in stock. One blue and the other stainless. Real nice. I just got a .38 Umberti lever and took it out the first time the other day and loved it. Only brought 100 rounds with me and wished I had more to shoot. Could not bring myself to pay $40 for 50 rounds of .38 at the range so I went home sad. I will be back next week and fire off another couple hundred rounds. I could shoot this thing all day and no shoulder pain whatsoever and my aim is pretty good too.
  3. Last week I bought a 375 round brick of Federal .22 lr ammo for $25 at Tip's. They did not have any on the shelf. I was picking up two guns I bought, a rifle and a .22 pistol. They asked if I needed any rifle or .22 ammo and I told them I was good but asked what they had. He went in the back and came out with the Federal high velocity brick. I never shot this type so I figured I would give it a try.
  4. Yea this shop is like a hidden gem for ammo. They have tons of rifle ammo at any given time. Even have some hard to find handgun ammo like .32 long in stock.
  5. Saw a 6 or 7 inch one at Tip's today. I think it was the 100 or maybe the 101. I can't tell the difference.
  6. You got that right. I wanted a Python until I aaw the current prices and for over $1500 up to $2500 I would be afraid to use the darn thing. I am now in the market for a blue and wood grip .357 S&W. Looking at the model 586, 66 and 19 for my first wheel gun.
  7. 73 million guns under Obama ??? Is that a record?
  8. Funny, I was just at Tips this morning and thought the same thing about the full shelves of ammo. Saw .22 lr on the shelve but did not buy since I am pretty well stocked for now. A few guys were drooling over the Kris Vector as well. I hear they are putting have of there ammo deliveries aside to have it available for customers at their new range and gun shop opening next month.
  9. Dick's sells the American eagle .45 acp for $25 when they get it in. I have never seen .45 less than $22 a box of 50 this year so far.
  10. I would be scared to hell drilling into a .357 or any gun for that matter. I would be afraid that it would blow apart when using the hot ammo. Then again If you know what you are doing sounds like an awesome idea.
  11. Using Hooper ave, is the new store east or west and on what side of route 37 is it located? I am familiar with Toms River but not sure what pawn shop you are talking about. Is it called Q's loan?
  12. I have seen a few model 19 and model 66 S&W's selling on GB that were supposedly Department trade ins. All looked to be in good shape but had holster and carry wear. There is a shop in NY state that has quite few listed right now.
  13. Lol that would be funny. I don't own enough guns to have one lost at the bottom of a safe. I did hear a story or two from Hickok 45 that he did this numerous times. He most have hundreds of guns he forgot about. What a life.
  14. I just got a Browning Buckmark and I love it. I saw another for sale different finish and grips and was thinking about picking that up as well. I think it is the same model but I have not seen it in person. I will take a look at it tomorrow. Does this sound silly and a waste of a permit? Does anyone have two or more of the exact same guns?
  15. How heavy was that target? Looked like a pretty big piece of steel and it was swinging like a sheet of paper after impact. Those bullets are amazing.
  16. How do you like that model 31 pistol? I was told it is like a slightly weak .38 special when fired. I saw one in a shop and was thinking about picking it up after I get a .357. Is ammo tough to find? My LGS has ammo in stock but it is $25 for 50 rounds. Is that high or the going rate for .32 long ammo?
  17. This a better deal than a local range selling Federal bulk 300 pack for $99 each. I am all over this. I hope their not sold out. lol You guys have to check out their other prices on ammo. Winchester 9mm 1000 rounds for $599. Hurry only 11 in stock. http://tacticalgearops.com/bulk-ammo/handgun-ammo/bulk-9mm-ammo/1000-rds-winchester-9mm-luger-brass-115gr-fmj.html
  18. Are those grips mandatory for competition or just you preference?
  19. May 8 faxed. Approved May 30. 22 days.
  20. Buying is easy. The three week wait for the NICS, now that's where the real fun comes in. Maybe you can find something you want in a private sale and skip all the hassle and bring your gun home the same day.
  21. Just got the call that approval was in. Only took 22 days. Could be a new shop record. Picking my babies up tomorrow.
  22. Can you adopt me so I can get this exception too? Today is day 21 for NICS for a pistol and rifle.
