  1. I am not against the concept of hunting overall, even though I am not a hunter. I don't know if it is the best solution in this case. I think the real solution was to stop infringing on wild animals habitats, but that ship has long since sailed I believe.
  2. I have to admit I have mixed feelings about this. I am not against the beer hunt. However, I love seeing Bucky get smacked down by the courts. I also laughed at how the anti-hunters got upset with him for not keeping his campaign promise to not allow the hunts to resume.
  3. Might do something in the Smoky Mtn area instead. Much more affordable.
  4. Did you go? Our 25th is next summer.
  5. I watched a few clips. Disgusting clown world. Bergen was not permitted to quote Thomas Jefferson. Danielsen pretended he couldn't hear Bergen. The Speaker was clearly biased. Same. I need to do some more research on him, but he might be the first politician I will ever donate money to.
  6. I watched Bergen grill Danielsen previously; he's good. His office sent me a (non-auto, non-cookie cutter) reply to my email thanking him for supporting law-abiding gun owners as well.
  7. Don't have Comcast, but I agree, it's probably blocking you based on the number of addressees. I use gmail and do not have a problem. Alternatively, you could try to break it up into multiple emails.
  8. Boss called a meeting during lunch so I couldn't call them then. If it's early enough once my class leaves I'll try then. I did email them all again. Hit the usual plus three new points. Danielsen saying the bill is not meant to reduce crime, only go after law-abiding gun owners; McKeon's racist comments; and how their own lawyer said it would not pass muster under Bruen.
  9. Don't know who to call or email for your district? Find out here: https://www.njleg.state.nj.us/legislative-roster Or go here to get a list of every single email address at once: https://www.anjrpc.org/page/CombinedLegEmailAddr

  11. Also an additional burden on the applicant. My work schedule is booked 3-6 months in advance. I rarely have someone available to cover for me at work. Luckily, I have not heard of my County doing this.
  12. Bumping this as another reminder. Also, talk to other people about it. I was at LGS yesterday. Bought two guns, they offer cash discount on new, so I paid cash for that. No discount on used, so credit card for that one so I can get the card points. I like the credit card giving me points for guns. Used my Prime card. I asked him if he knew about Amazon Smile. He did not. He wrote it down to give to his wife, since she does all of the Amazon shopping. If he's there when I go back to pick up, I'll check with him to see if he did.
  13. Standard, black, no thumb safety; SKU 180023. Dealer had to order it, he entered the NICS for the revolver tonight, so I'll get the Shield 31 days plus whatever the NICS delay then is after this NICS processes. He said NICS was still working on last Thursday today.
  14. So, I bought two guns today. A Shield .380 EZ, to take advantage of the rebate and a used S&W Model 36-6 in .38. Got them both for right around the high end of my budget for a .357 revolver.
  15. How does the EZ eject the cases? My M&P Full & Shields tend to eject straight back at the shooter; SIGs more 3-4 o'clock.

    Kerosene

I have a traditional open fireplace in the living room at far end of a single story ranch house. That can get the living room sweltering hot, my problem is, it draws the heat from the rest of the house. Other end of the house is freezing. I wish I had been smart enough to install an insert years ago when we had extra cash and prices were better.
  17. Welcome. He did say he grew up in the North, they think it's TH up there.
  18. Horizontal file cabinet? It does not scream guns inside. You can get wooden ones if you don't want the metal look. Locks are usually standard. TV stand type thing, but they are usually open for ventilation. Edit to add... just watch the weight rating. Ammo supplies get heavy quickly.

Agreed, I just cannot bring myself to be responsible for giving anymore money to zuckerberg, even though it's not from me directly. I kinda wish Musk had bought fb instead of twitter. @brucin Kerosene does seem to still exist in NJ, just don't know about your area. Here is a google street-view image of the Gulf on 537 on the border of Millstone/Jackson. About a mile East of I-195.
  20. But wouldn't an all metal revolver with light .38 loads improve the situation? Yes, an instructor would be good, the trick is finding and scheduling a good one. I took her to an NRA Basic class hoping to get more out of it. I hate to say it, but that turned out to pretty much be a waste of time and money. 60-80% classroom and nearly no coaching at the firing line. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and took another class with him myself on CCW. Again, nearly all classroom and a waste of my time and money. She doesn't have very small hands, nor is she petite. She just has her mind set on what she does and doesn't like. She also had a bad experience when she was young when her &^%&!*@ of an uncle thought it would be funny to have his young nieces shoot his high recoil loud guns. Is that still a factor on a subconscious level, maybe?
  21. Thanks. Weeknights are tough, and zero chance of making it to Easton by 6. I was offered an opportunity to handle and dry-fire a decent collection of revolvers by someone on another forum, I just need to set up a time.
  22. Congrats to those that have gotten their permits so far. I must say it is frustrating for me since I've applied so much earlier than some. Typical though, same things happen with FOIDs and P2Ps. Sometimes I get them faster than other people.
