Took my son to the local gun show today (5 minutes from the house) and one vendor had a "Prize Wheel" if you signed up for their email list. I signed up and spun. For about half of the past seven years, I commuted from Warren County to various parts of NYC. My normal commute to and from totaled 5-7 hours on most days, the only upside was that I got paid 58¢/mile and I got paid for my travel time...the down side was I would work 8-12 hours between the to and from. If there exists a clear and present danger, waiting 45 days is pointless...emergency carry permit, issued within 24 hours of application and valid for 45 days. That's where my wife started 2 years ago and she just went and bought a S&W Shield 9mm for herself last weekend.
