  1. Need help deciding here: I'm torn between Ruger mark IV and SW22. Want to buy a universal gun for Bullseye and Steel Challenge, so it has to be bull barrel or similar. I like stainless steel Ruger and million aftermarket parts available but I don't like grip angle (22/45 fits better but it's plastic) and the fact that barrel is the firearm. So every time I would think of a new barrel it will have to be a new set permits.... On the contrary SW22 has less aftermarket support and somewhat strange grip - the angle is fine though. Plus its cheaper. Your opinions? pls? thanks in advance. P.S. Buck Mark is out - don't even bring it up :). I own Buck Mark, i like the way it shoots but the takedown process can be painful. last time I wanted to clean it i stripped the hex screw and had to go to a gunsmith . Also, little aftermarket options and harder to find parts.
  2. I would vote against VP9, I have it but the mags are expensive and maintenance is complex. glock if it fits your hand but m&p checks all the boxes. also CZ p10 c is a good option with trigger out of box better than glock and m&p.
  3. Rethorical question : What does that ban is going to mean for ipsc and other shooting sports?
  4. Haha, makes me feel better [emoji4] BTW, when I was picking it up, the second sales person started to complain that they priced the rifle lower than they should have.
  5. @capt14k yes I got it, can't wait to see how it shoots Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  6. Mosin has round receiver, stamped with 1942 hammer and sickle. Matching bayonet and magazine. VZ24 complely mismatched, bolt has the only matching numbers, no clear date, there is a 4 digit number followed by "P4" on the side of the receiver and "3(small lion) 38" marking Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  7. No pics but there is a lion stamped on the receiver. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  8. Looked up the gunbroker, seem like mosin is overpriced.. VZ24 then. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  9. Folks and@capt14k What would you buy: Czech VZ24 in good condition for 350 Or Mosin 91/30 in excellent condition for 380 Both rifles are non matching. For the record, it a first milsurp rifle for me. My consideration is ammo availability, since I’m not reloading, and accuracy for 100 to 300 yards ( if I can put clamp on optics on it) Can you make a recommendation? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. I have Franchi Affinity, love it.. Used it for trap. so far no malfunctions, since I only load one shell at the time I cannot comment on FTF but no FTEs yet. Loaded with light or heavy loads it eate everything. The new one comes with larger port, large bolt release button ( similar to aftermarket ones) and large bolt handle. Oh and I forgot to mention predrilled receiver. It looks like gun was prepared for 3 gun.. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  11. Unfortunately it did not work out. Had to leave early, the store was closed . Next time. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  12. Thank you guys, I will stop by there again tomorrow but if I need to ship it to another store or FFL, it's a deal breaker. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  13. While on the business trip in North MA I discovered a small Cabelas store. They have good selection of Chilean, yugo, and some Swedish Mausers. Would it be a problem to buy in MA and transport it to NJ? And can you point me to some document that lists fair prices on these rifles?@capt14k Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. Where can I find more details on schedule? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  15. I can't agree more, I took it to the 100 yard lane in Cherry Ridge, was almost boring, could hear the ding every round . Also tried it on 10-20 yards with short - fast left-to-right, up and down transitions. Very pleased with the rifle. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  16. I have PC Carbine as well and saw different opinions on putting the muzzle break on it. Some say it helps with muzzle raise, while others say that for 9mm in 16 inch barrel there is not enough gases to make a difference. So the muzzle break would not be efficient at all. 17. Hey folks, I'm planing on participating at OBRAMS match, quick questin: what time it actually ends at? need to juggle family plans that get in the way.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. I'm just a recreational shooter, here what I ended up using after trying few options from lucky gunner article. https://www.esseyepro.com/Suppressor-2X-Kit-Clear-and-Hi-Def-Copper_193_detail.html It's light and doesn't press against ears/head after prolonged wear with earmuffs. 19. Since I'm not reloading I never looked at it that way, but it's a good point you make. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  20. Just to report back: went to GFH, shot 200 rounds without any questions. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  21. I'm using them almost exclusively. Look for their discount codes combined with free shipping and it becomes a good deal. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  22. Thanks Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  23. I got bunch of cheaper FMJ aluminum case ammo, do you know if GFH or Bullet Hole will have a problem with it?
