ignore him, he thinks he's being smart and cute. Not only did this guy want a white supremacist Society but he also talked about killing innocent children. Look I don't give a crap honestly if they start shooting leftist politicians who want to take my rights away and trample on our constitution. Children are off limits their innocence and they don't deserve that type of sick Nut Job targeting -

You're not playing devils advocate with this instead, moronic. he's planned and discussed poisoning water supplies and more. stop, you look retarded here -
vortex, aero, pepr....there is nothing crazy about making a good mount any longer. Spend more and get a ADM best bet is the vortex/aero due to price. you made a good choice

what is troubling with the media and pd in these matters is the 'trophy display' of firearms and ammo. It's pathetic and no different than using the 9yrold pic of a criminal to solicit a biased response vs the thug image of a murderer. also, 1k rounds is hardly alot of ammo. Hell, my kids and I go through 1k in 22lr alone when we go on a boys shoot day:) -

I have said, it's only a matter of time before someone who has had enough, is upset at the direction of our liberties etc etc, starts shooting liberal lawmakers. This nutjob was caught but there are more out there that we don't know about and only need a nudge to act. It's coming is what I believe, I've no doubt about that imho -

no doubt in my mind actually think about what 2 kids in Boston did to the entire city and eastern MA. think about what 1 cop did to several counties worth of LE in souther cal think about what the dc shooter did and the resources needed now imagine groups of gun owners getting together, coordinating, etc etc. If you think LE will risk their lives to stop that in the face of a growing resistance and more gun owners joining the fray, I've got a bridge to sell you...lol contract, time to retirement is what matters most now. any organized resistance or movement would put such a strain on the gov't that it could cause it's collapse -

of note, those figures are for whole firearms and not for home builds of which I believe, that number eclipses the figures presented. -

bad barrel with premature fatigue crack tension fissures from the forging process not being done properly. a squib or any obstruction of the barrel would have a vastly different exit expenditure. Couple that with the location of the linear break and it's a no brainer. I'll bet the cooling process was not done properly on top of that, anyone shooting a rifle that encounters a squib would know it, it's not subtle. Couple that with the fact that the guy shooting a 38/357 isn't really target practicing past 50-75 yards for the most part and is watching his paper. He had no idea here....
-
well that settles the squib issue my first comment is what I continue to stand by. barrel issue
-
looking more closely at the break, it's a clean break in the barrel that follows a straight line. Squibs are much more violent and not linear like this
-
agreed plus a squib is a violent occurrence whereas this does not appear to be so. definitely want to see more detailed pics
-
yes but I want the exact weight, type etc. doubt it's a fouling issue with factory jacketed ammo with such few rounds plus, the fed 357 I have is not traveling fast enough to fowl the barrel so quickly. The location of the break is telling, it's the weakest part of the barrel. will be surprised if it's not a defective barrel

do we know exactly what ammo he was using?
