Seeking Interest: Auction Feature For Marketplace
BobA replied to Maksim's topic in Announcements, Support & Suggestions
I'm showing my age here but, there was a time on Ebay when one could do this. It was done so much that Ebay instituted all PMs go through them. Gets tricky. I would assume @Maksim would use the proper auction type software. -
Seeking Interest: Auction Feature For Marketplace

Good point. There should be no room for discussion or chatter. PM questions only. But how would you control private deals? -
Seeking Interest: Auction Feature For Marketplace
BobA replied to Maksim's topic in Announcements, Support & Suggestions
Local NJGF members only. The unique part is it can be done with meet-ups and no additional shipping and keeping the sale still somewhat private and personal. Also bringing the community closer together. I also feel bringing the vendors (FFLs) in is kind of like having management in your union. It might be counter productive. Are you going to restrict it to Premier Members only? -

Go up to Easton and rent a couple to see what floats your boat. -
No. It didn't. I got what you were trying to say.

The First Time It Hit Me I Was Now Living In PA
BobA replied to Maksim's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Yes, which is a shame for you youngsters. We old farts can still move, carry and shoot at will and then die before the socialist movement. -
Yes. I once did the sticky side out and every mosquito and bat in the neighborhood got stuck to my roof I’m afraid if I ground it then in the event of a strike it will set off all the internet ordered ammo I buried. Man! Murphy sure isn’t making this easy.

My House Foil Contractor claimed shiny side out will attract lightening.

I heard that years ago “they” started putting tracking devices in various gun accessories and they will be monitored by NORAD. Jan 1st I’ll be covering my house in foil.

I know. It’s like you can breath again. Like hitting a full oxygen bottle at 75ft and not caring who hears the explosion. -
The Departed.

The way I see it is unless you’re one of those that think when you die your floating in the corner watching everything, then it doesn’t really matter.
-
Why indeed. I could never figure out why people thought all these search engines and social networks were providing their services out of the goodness of their hearts. Years ago they and the ACLU fought and won the first amendment rights of these giants. And boy, have they used it.
-
Funny you should mention that. When I would ask a stupid New Jersey like question they would laugh and say "sure we do, we're not Massachusetts after all". Just like PA laughs at us.

I got the COE offered. And sometimes you can get the forbidden features. My experience at all the cabelas mentioned I feel is believe it or not it boils down to the clerk and the manager on duty. I’ve had contradictory sales and service in each. As far as other stores in Maine it depends on how far north and west you go. Now private sales are a whole other thread.

All good points. But remember we live in a fucked up blue bubbled state: https://www.nj.com/sussex-county/index.ssf/2016/01/nj_man_found_guilty_in_killing_of_3_bears_outside.html

Ok, let's all get a grip here. Ann, Zeke, Rosey and others here have all met Karen and I. It's not our first rodeo. The "walking on cloud nine" and "love conquerors all" is out the window at our age and applies to the kids just starting out. There's a certain amount of business to take care of first. Pre-nups, wills, etc. We didn't work all our lives amassing our vast fortunes for other people's children or their spouses or even future spouses of ours to inherit it all. That being said: So we're just dotting our i's and crossing our T's to not repeat any mistakes. Only fools rush in where angles dare to tread (didn't Elvis say that?). P.S. If my attachment worked below is the engagement gun I proposed with. It's her Golden Boy. I had a custom cover made for it. I posted it again so @Mrs. Peel can't say I'm not a romantic. Nah!
