  1. Ahhh, I like that idea. Will she also bring me a beer and be wearing a bikini? Nice! I'm 20/20 for everything beyond my fingertips... ha... Hmmmm, age catching up with you? Losing the close up vision is the worst part as the calendar fast-forwards. Remember, they do make seeing eye dogs...
  2. Until the fat lady sings, that was the correct decision.
  3. Ha Ha.. that's not what I meant. When I can't see what I'm doing when working at my workbench, can I just hit "CTRL,+" on the countertop to be able to see the tools and parts better? That's another area I need the cheaters.
  4. Why is it, every time this thread pops back to the top, and I read the title, it makes me feel so "dirty"?
  5. Yep.. I feel the same way. Every time I've tried to take advantage of a sale, or grabbed a lower quality brand of ammo, because it looked like a deal, it's come back to bite me with issues.
  6. Does the Desantis Nemisis have a belt clip, I only can see one side of it, or is it just a sleeve type holster to cover the trigger area? I To me, it looks like if you pull the gun from your pocket, you'll need to grab the holster with the other hand to pull it off.
  7. Will that work when working in my shop too?
  8. I go every couple of years, haven't had any changes. Just need to use the cheater readers from Walmart to read this wonderful forum (any anything else close up). Make sure you bring a really dark pair of sunglasses, because after they dilate your pupils for the exam, it will feel like your looking into a spotlight when you get outside.
  9. Wow.. this is why we're so screwed... people will believe anything.
  10. My suggestion, just wear your apron when you go out, problem solved:
  11. Wait, aren't they suppose to be worn like that?
  12. I'll say, along with the other recent one. Does he think this site is WebMD?
  13. Interesting, that was my experience too. A few years earlier, no problems, then tons of jambs and stovepipes, to the point, the boxes just became paperweights (this was with 9mm). I got tired of the issues. This was with New, not Reman. Stopped ordering from them.
  14. I was amazed at the difference in pressure build up. In one race car, we ran normal air (which already has 78% nitrogen), and the pressure build up with the temp increase was big. In the other car we run straight nitrogen, and it's amazing how stable the pressures remain, even with the high temp build up.
  15. Wow, what a bunch of party poopers... Why not just use helium, it will make the tires lighter, which will make it even more fuel efficient. BTW, nitrogen really won't do what you say for the average car tire. The benefit to nitrogen is that you don't get as extreme size changes when the tire gets hot during heat cycles, as nitrogen doesn't expand as much as air does, which keeps the tire size more stable. This is why we run nitrogen in our race tires.
  16. I also like to use the flavored air sometimes, ( Raspberry is my current favorite) as it makes the tires smell nicer as they rotate. That's a good flavor for the Spring. In the Fall, I'll switch to Pine scent.
  17. Actually there is, no one gets off the planet alive. Eventually we all end up looking at the brown side of the grass.
  18. Exactly... I do it at the change of the seasons, every 3 months. Helps keep the tires rounder.
  19. Remember how well that worked out for the white dude in Florida?
  20. The point is, you'll be charged something on top of the tire cost, but if you have a warranty tire issue, who takes responsibility? I'd rather not have to fight the "He said - She said" of finger pointing on a tire issue. I put Goodyears on my wife's SUV a few years ago, and they have no issues and she hasn't screwed them up, so I'm considering those for my truck. She's pretty brutal on vehicles.
  21. Actually, since this thread came up and I'm shopping for tires, I went back and checked Tire Rack to see what they had. Comparing the same tires from them versus the local tire guys, tire rack was $6 less on each tire cost. Plus, on top of that there is the standard mounting, balancing, etc. which you pay no matter what. So, for $6 more per tire, I'd rather buy from the local tire guy who will do everything. This way I have someone to go back to in case of a tire issue. Plus, I like to support the local businesses when ever possible.
