  1. i Know i saw some rifle ammo.. 30-06, 6.5, etc.. It was in the locked glass cases behind the counter. Some rifles in the rack too.. Shotgun ammo was out on the open shelf, could just grab boxes and put in your cart.. unfortunely, i wasnt looking for ammo, or anything really gun related. Just swung through that department out of curiosity as to how it compared to the stores here nj... It was nice to see ammo on the open shelf, guns in the rack, and a whole aisle of supplies.. claening stuff, cold blue, even a shelf of holsters.. What a difference compared to this damn state... sorry, i really didnt take notice... i wasnt ammo shopping at the time.. in hind sight, i should have grabbed some stuff! What i do recall seeing seemed to be mostly hunting type rounds in shotgun and rifle..
  2. had a family trip to camelback this past weekend. Ran into the local walmart on mount pocono for room snacks and drinks. They had a lot of various ammo in stock and on the shelf. Especially shotgun ammo. And a few guns in the gun case for sale... Just an FYI for anyone up in NW NJ..
  3. Ironically, i have three lowers with no uppers! (yet!)
  4. Hey, Nice to see another North Hanover resident around these forums!
  5. I don’t know, I always thought it was pretty tasty... like chicken
  6. What do otters taste like?? Probably similar to ground hog.. doesnt sound to appealing...
  7. yea, good move not watching the video in that link......
  8. while were on the topic.. Anyone have a source, or laying around, a MEC650 compatable primer feeder?? Even the old tube style; maybe from one of the many times someone upgraded to the tray style. I just want to get this 650 up and operational.. Also, a good source of supplies?? Shot, powder, primers, etc.
  9. everything thats been said thus far is spot on... Heres my take; I have not reloaded YET.. A few months ago i was at a local auction and let myself get caught up in the bidding and way over paid for a used MEC 650.. Probably about 110$ after buyers premium and tax.. After i got it home and looked it over, everything looks great EXCEPT the primer tray/tube thingie is missing. Still need to find that! Fast forward to last months auction at the same place, and i picked up a bag of 600+ once fired AA hulls and a 500 count bag of unopened wads.. About 12$ out the door.. As has been said, theres no savings reloading 12ga. Factor your time, and your losing money or wasting your time in most peoples eyes.. BUT, for me, im looking at this like hunting deer or planting the back yard garden.. Hunting with licenses, permits, buck tags, guns, ammo etc is way more expensive than buying some common meats at the grocery store. Gardening, not cheap! and very time consuming! But we do it, its enjoyable and self reliance is rewarding.. So getting started in relaoding seems about the same ideals to me.. I want my teenage son to try a hand at it too. A fun learning experience.. And about that self reliance thing, being able to reload is huge.. I always say; i can hunt, fish, grow crops, i have guns, trucks, and can build anything. Me and my family will survive almost anything. Anarchy, blackouts, crumbled infastructure, colapsed economy, etc, etc.. Knowing i always have access to make ammo makes all that even easier.. Ron
  10. Thanks for the link.. Ill check them out and compare to PSA...
  11. Ironically its my sons favorite number and usually his jersey number for sports when he gets too chose... he was happy when we were assigned Lane 16...
  12. Nice day at the range today! got there at 1:30; most lanes were occupied but was able to get right in. Got my teenage boys started with the .22 rifles, then the .22 handgun. Smooth shooting and no flinching so finished up with them shooting the 9mm’s and even a few rounds with the new Tisa’s 1911 .45.. Good times indeed!
  13. Tomorrows looking like a nice day range! i should be there with the two teenage boys... time for them to step up to some hand gun shootin’... Ron
  14. Welcome Felicia!, First off.. head on down to south jersey and try some pork roll.. Its wayyyyyyy better than taylor's ham.. Once you try it, you'll be hooked! You always eat pork roll over that taylor ham crap from then on... Second off.. Good job ditching the liberal ex! His screen name wouldnt be GreenDay by any chance, would it???
  15. hey @Maksim I believe in the previous binoc's thread, you asked for a screenshot of our amazon review,? Attached mine here... hope its what you need. Thanks again for hooking us up with an awesome deal! Ron
  16. Nice! Good wholesome quality father son bonding time... Im still sitting on a stripped lower i bought 5 months ago with the plan of putting together an AR with my son.. Hopefully one day soon things will settle down enough to find the time to do it! Enjoy
  17. @RUTGERS95 Thanks for the initial post/link! I went ahead and ordered the two pack. I also ordered a Tisa 1911 from a different dealer but had both orders shipped to my FFL. Did the NICS and transfer on the 3 items at one time.. FFL only added 10$ on top of the initial transfer fee for the 1911.. So grand total out the door for the 2 stripped lowers was less than 90$... 45$ a piece.. im happy with that!
  18. yea, kinda my thoughts too.. So i guess its time to get into reloading... lol Anyone know or see any good deals on a basic RCBS setup, let me know! Nice shootin' and sounds like a relatively calm quiet day at the range..
  19. Many people there?? I may try and get my teenage son, my girlfriend, and her teenage son over there sometime this weekend.. Theyve all shot before, but not too much and i want to get them more into it.. Especially my left leaning girlfriend!
  20. if it wasnt for this shitty thing called work..... Though im running to a date with my FFL at lunch time... Picking up my Tisa's 1911 and the two pack of anderson stripped lowers i had shipped in..
