Colonial Williamsburg Flintlock Range

Has anyone gone to the range at Colonial Williamsburg to shoot the flintlock muskets? Trying to find out if it's worth it and how to sign up for it.

I've no experience with the range, but I was fascinated when I visited the gunsmith shop at Colonial Williamsburg.  They build flintlocks using only tools and techniques available in the 18th century.    Really beautiful guns, they only turn out a couple a year, and sell them for big bucks to collectors.

I did it with one of my boys several years ago.

They had us put on a period-correct shirt and cap and then let us shoot two different flintlocks.  The armorer talked for a bit about the history of flintlocks and then we went to the range.

They had a guy who took care of loading, but we cocked , aimed, and shot the guns at paper targets.

I don't remember how much it cost, but we enjoyed it.
