Canada: Governmental overreach

'A very difficult position': Liberal gun control bill raises questions about NDP support (msn.com)

Looks like Trudeau and his allies are trying to one-up Biden's gun grab.  Thankfully, there's some pushback:

"Meanwhile, the national conversation on gun control took an interesting turn over the weekend after Montreal Canadiens’ netminder and avid hunter Carey Price weighed in on the issue on social media. “I am not a criminal or a threat to society,” he posted to Instagram, along with a photo of him wearing camouflage hunting gear and cradling a shotgun. “What @justinpjtrudeau is trying to do is unjust. I support the @ccfr_ccdaf (Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights) to keep my hunting tools.”

USA fought for its freedom; Canada was provided with it and will be forever grateful…They brag that they have free healthcare for all citizens but do not need to blow any money on national defense because…that is provided by the good ole/sometimes bad ole USA.

I spent some time in Canada.  Country of less than 50 million people with very little diversity and no 2nd Amendment type rights.

Forgotten is that Canada continues to enjoy its ties to France which isnt always if ever the friendliest to the USA.  Canada even changed its flag in the late 60s to appease the French speakers and look less like that nasty British flag and more like the Tre Colours…

Ownership of a handgun when it was permissable was tied to a residence and not the owner, per se, meaning the owner needs to keep the handgun in a specific listed residence and self-defense use is not even an option.

We were just in Montreal and Quebec for a family trip.
The French Canadians sure are proud of their socialism. Our tour guides spoke of it often, and flatteringly, touting that their medical care was all ‘free’.
I mentioned that noting was free, and they they pay sky high taxes to account for that ‘free’ healthcare, and childcare.
I also asked about all the Canadians who cross into the US to obtain healthcare that their system either could not provide in a timely manner, or at all.

Needless to say, I was not popular with the tour guides.

Here's a list:

they were just talking to someone canadian last night on fox about wait times in canada for basic healthcare. i just looked for clip on youtube, but couldn't find any......

She reported the "Gold Standard" for knee surgery AFTER you get into the system is 180 days. And consider yourself lucky!

But they have a suggestion. If the pain is too much to bear, they can EUTHANIZE you with almost no waiting time!
