I want to get my hunting license got the workbook and DVD and they talk about the field test in the booklet for the bow and shooting 3 out of five arrows into a 3-D target etc. But there is nothing about a shotgun field test I know I have to take the hunter safety courst but in talking with friends of mine that got thier hunting license years ago they had to have a shotgun for the course and field test. There is no mention of it in the booklet or DVD. As I'm signed up for the course for August do I need a shotgun by then? Anyone know?

if your taking the hunter saftey course at fort dix shotgun rifle and muzzleloader are all provided for you to take.study the book and watch the dvd make sure book is filled out for all the disciplines that you want take.plan to be there at least 3 hours.saftey saftey saftey cant stress that enough.good luck and welcome to the sport of hunting

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to do some turkey and deer this season. As much as I love Jersey I hate it too. So many old friends and family moving out and loving it in other parts of America.

the booklet is combined, they told my son to copy the pages he needed off the net. the instructor told him which pages and that was for his bow license.
