Bushnell Banner 3-9x40mm for a 10/22?

Recommended Posts

Hey all-

A buddy of mine had a NIB Bushnell Banner 3-9x40mm that he did not need, don't ask me why. He gave it to me for a great price, since I was looking for a scope to put on my new 10/22.

I mentioned the story to the guys at my local gun shop (Ramsey Outdoor) and one of them commented that it was a great deal, but a little overkill for a .22.

I know that Bushnell carries scopes specifically for rimfires, but is the 3-9x40mm acceptable to use for range practice and outside field plinking? I don't hunt, so I won't be "tracking" varmints that much.

Any input would be appreciated, Thanks!

it will work just fine , but you might have a parallax problem at less than 100 yds. - usually have my 3-9x's on my .22 set at 3x -
