Does the WASR-10 break down in order to clean it? I cant find any pins to open it up.

 

Also, Maks, can you start a gun care/cleaning forum topic, or maybe a sub forum of gunsmithung?

Yes, the Receiver cover pops off, and then you take out the spring and bolt carrier/bolt. Theres a little lever on the right side to get the gas tube off, and theres another little lever to get the lower handguard off.

But it cost me so much to have my AR cleaned becuase I didnt touch it for about 2500 roudns that I wanna do preventative maintenance

 

I also cant get my shotgun open

Actually, the AK is probably the second easiest gun I have to clean.

 

I always wanted to try the Afgan Technique. Take your boot lace and tie a few knots in it. Dip it in used motor oil and run it through the barrel a few times 8-) 8-)

I have just under 4000 rounds through my WASR 10 and have never cleaned it

I was enthralled by the take down on the XD. So I followed that purchase up with a Ruger Mark II, among the hardest, but once you know how, it's fairly straightforward.
