Impressive but I prefer the Marlin .444 myself.

Those rounds are powerful. The issue is...shooting a 45-70 at a piece of paper the hole looks the same as a .45acp. The difference is the noise and how many rounds you can shoot before your shoulder becomes dislocated.

I love my 45/70. Does nice work on watermelons. Hopefully a wild boar in the future.

If you reload, you can beat the 444 marlin and have more varieties of bullets. There is nothing that a 45/70 can do like a 444.
