I was in Dunklebergers up in PA today they had a Garand for under 500.00 I think it was 480.00 its on the rack on the floor,, I looked at it its not bad but I didnt put a light down the barrel .

 

It was a CAI so its not a collector but for the price .

 

There was 2 on the rack the 2nd was 700.00+

CAI Garands aren't worth that much.

 

They are assembled for GI parts using a CAI receiver which has a poor reputation. Best advice is steer clear.

YA but for a shooter

just make sure they will stand behind the sale .

I think Century sold them and I have a Cetme a FAL and had a WASR from them and had luck with them all.

Better off with a rack grade CMP. The receivers are not GI but cast by a contractor. Anywhere near $500 is overpriced. Maybe $350 if the barrel is good. resale on it will not be good. I would pass. Any Garand purchase should include a check of the muzzle wear and throat erosion. The M2 bullet in the muzzle doesn't work. Proper tools are needed to check both.

yes you are right thats why in my 1st post it says not for a collector

and if it was 350 it would be home with me :roll: :roll:
