TFO Night Sights

Just installed some TFO sights on my G17. They look great both in the dark and in the light, those fiber pipes really pull in a lot of light!

 

FYI the install was easy as long as you don't mind destroying the old sights. I didn't have a vice, any of the "tools", etc. Just patience, and leverage. I'd say it's about as easy of an install as you can do!

Interesting, combo of fiber optics and tritium, hadn't heard of these before. I think I just found my next G26 sights.

I want them on my XD too but have been told you can't do that install yourself.

What gunsmith did you use? All the ones I asked refused to do it, said I need to send the slide back to Springfield!

The XD front sight is a PIA to change. I have talked to a few people who will not do it. Very shallow and tight. I have not yet attempted it, yet.

From what I've heard they do actually use presses! Maybe not 8 tons though.

I used John Torelli, Jersey Small Arms Gunsmithing in the Millville/Vineland area. I have used him for a great number of things and highly reccomend him.
