range report pt1911AR 38 super

The taurus PT1911AR is a smooth shooter, no hicups and myself and wolfy put 80 rounds through her tonight.

I loaded up 115 gr FMJ with 5.7 GR #2 which operated the 1911 flawlessly.

Shoots tad low so i was compensating you will see from wolfy's target so it does need sight work but will put it in the same spot every time..I was off a little tonight but wolfy was on it..

I must admitt that taurus did a nice job on this gun. It is not as nice as the S&W pro we all been shooting in 9mm but is close. And i realy like this 38 super round..

Now I know why you coated the bullets with graphite the holes show up better when you scan the targets!!!!! :shock:

Thanks for the report! I'm seriously considering the PT1911AL (aluminum frame) in .45, though I hear they are hard to find.

That's not graphite, those are powder burns. That happens when the muzzle is only 3" from the target :mrgreen:

Mine in .45 shoots like a dream. It shoots better then I can aim lol.
