Wait time for FID in Mt Laurel

I have finally gotten sick of having to drive to PA or DE for ammo so I figure I might as well get it over with and get my NJ FID. Does anyone have any recent experience with wait times? The police dept. webpage mentions processing can take months. Would it make any difference in time if I didn't apply for any handgun permits at the moment? I am not in the market for another handgun right now. I just looking for ammo to keep practicing and maybe pick up a rifle.

I didnt think ammo could ship to NJ. I tried to order some from Midway and they wouldnt ship here so I asssumed no one would. Thanks a lot!

There are a few places that will not ship pistol ammo, but many will and still do. Some require a copy of your DL and some may require a copy of your FID card before they will ship.

Just got my 4th shipment of ammo from Cabelas today. This was .223, but I bought several hundred rounds of 9mm from them a couple of months ago. All they ever wanted from me was my credit card # and address.

Thanks for all the ammo tips guys. Does anyone here have any experience with wait times in this area? I just did my taxes last night and may have some extra cash for a new toy.
