Umarex Colt 22 Rifle

I do not see many comments about the Umarex Colt 22 Rifle. Everyone talks about the M&P 15-22 and how they love it.

 

Why is that?

 

1) Is it that the Colt only holds 10 and the M&P 15 bullets?

2) Price?

3) Better made?

The Colt has the bolt release molded and non functional which drove me nuts.The Smith has the same working parts as an AR. I also believe the Smith is cheaper. I prefer the Smith over the Colt, and I have shot both.

The Smith has a much nicer feel. I know that the S&W parts aren't interchangeable with a real AR, but at least they function the same way. The Colt does not. And if you're looking at the Ruger version, it is really a worked over 10/22, rotary mag to boot.

Lunker the Smith parts are interchangeable with an AR. Th exception is how the lower and upper mate they are out of spec.

Yup. You just explained it better than I did. The lower is not compatible with an AR upper. And the upper is not compatible with an AR lower.

That is intentional because it is a dedicated 22LR so no one can try to swap a .223 upper/lower and shoot the gun.
