Duck/Goose Hunting?

Anyone know of any spots in northern NJ?

goose season is over now. You can hunt sea ducks now.

Check the njdep website for hunting information.

The fine for hunting out of season is about 125 now.

Make sure you have your stamp and hip certification.

Im sorry I must have not been clear, i am aware of seasons, bag limits, and the laws as i ahve been hunting for over 20 years. I am jsut asking for local duck/goose hunting spots as i am not aware of any in northern NJ.

I find good spots on the Delaware, or find a farmer friend.

North Zone: Nov. 13 – Nov. 27 Dec. 11 - Jan. 17

South Zone: Nov. 13 – Nov. 27 Dec. 11 - Jan. 17

Coastal Zone: Nov. 25 – Dec. 4 Dec. 7 - Jan. 17

Daily bag limit: 3 singly or in aggregate to include cackling and white-fronted geese

I didnt know that! Ive been hunting for quite a while as well, my bad.

Have you hit up ringwood? They stay by the convent, then fly up to shepherd lake for night.

Hit shepherd lake in the am, hike in around the boathouse and you will get them.

 

I also have a farmer friend out in sussex and we call them in with about 20 decoys. Thats easy because its in a field.
