Sighting in the GSG-522

Anyone have any advice for adjusting the sights to zero the GSG-522. I'm really struggling to even get it on paper. Love the way it looks and shoots, but I can't hit anything with it.

Get a bigger target or put a huge sheet of paper behind it so you can walk the rounds in

Start close - 10 feet if you have to for sights that are REALLY off. Adjust sights to zero. Double the distance and repeat until you get to desired zeroing distance. Fastest way to zero.

First of all, thank you gentlemen for your help. I sent a note to George at rrages.com to find out if better sights were available, and he was quite helpful. He suggested I get a rail mount and a red dot sight (NC Star Compact 30mm: http://rrages.com/sight/dmrg130/index.htm). The whole set-up cost less than $100, and only took a few minutes to assemble.

 

I took the GSG up to Cherry Ridge yesterday to sight it in. It took a little patience, but I was able to adjust it so that I was peppering the center of a 12" Shoot N' See target from 50 yards. It wasn't exactly the 1" groups that I see guys shooting with their rifle anchored in a lead sled looking through a scope, but working from a bench, I was quite satisfied with my 6-8" groups, especially considering what I reported in my original post on this thread.

Let me tell you, it's a lot more fun now that I've figured out how to hit stuff with it! I believe it was $420 OTD at Mastadon. (List is $423 without tax and NICS.)
