P Daddy 0 Posted September 9, 2011 My arsenal seems to be putting dents in the casings when it ejects them. I can't quite figure out what they are striking on the way out of the chamber. I attached a pic. Any ideas and is this normal?
civictuner04 6 Posted September 9, 2011 It is the AK kiss......normal Google it there are some mods you can do but your shooting steel cases just let it go
lunker 274 Posted September 9, 2011 AKs mangle brass. If you are like me, you owned an AK clone in order to shoot cheap ammo. Don't worry about the brass unless you want to reload.
gunnyr 17 Posted September 10, 2011 This is normal for AK's. They hit the receiver cover on the way out. You can shoot steel cased ammo or try some weather sealing strips on the receiver cover by the ejection port to keep it from dinging the cases. I've reloaded brass dented by my AK like this but they were NATO spec 7.62x51 brass which is slightly thicker than .308.
vjf915 456 Posted September 10, 2011 If you were shooting brass case ammo, I would see a reason for concern. As it is, I don't.
P Daddy 0 Posted September 10, 2011 Thanks guys. I shoot the cheapo steel stuff so i'm not really concerned about reloads.
