I couldn't find a GEAR thread.. and if this is in the wrong spot please move it..

 

My simple rig..

 

USGI Ranger 'Rack'

USGI Triple M4 Pouch (holds 3)

USGI Grenade Pouch (for whatever)

Condor M4 Double-Triple Pouch (holds 6)

SAW 200 (for whatever.. maybe a med kit)

Condor Double 9mm Pouch (holds 2)

BCM 14 1/2" BFH Midlength

 

 

I pinned down my mags from 20 to 15 (for NJ).. though I need more mags to fill all 9 spots..

 

Anyone else got some goodies for Xmas along these lines??

So what gear should you wear on the rig? Magazines, med kit, light, ...

Most setups have the mags, med-kit, admin kit with ID panel, some guys run Cellulome light sticks for marker lights at night..

 

The med-kits have usually a 'Israel' bandage with some clotting agent.. and basic suture sets..

 

I'm just starting out with mine so I am sure things will change..

 

I 'heard' on line that our Mil wear 4-7 mags, med kit, etc..

 

I planned on getting a med-kit and some energy bars and toss them in the SAW pouch.. I can fit a cheapy 5x5 or 8x8 tarp in there also if I fold it tight I am sure..

 

plan on a Camel Back hydration unit for my back 2-3 litre..

 

maybe others that run TRUE setups will chime in later today or tommorrow..

RR.. didn't see the older posts.. not sure if a revival from April is a good or bad idea..

 

I also have an older class 2 vest to wear under this also.. granted its not Class 3 or 3A.. but its rated for most handgun rounds..

 

I was dabbling into some SAPI and ESAPI plates but decided for now I just want a simple rig to do the mag changes and maybe use when I get out to my 11 acre property in West TX..
