Question about NJ transportation law - in practice

AFAIK , only applies if you are engaged in hunting activities, or perhaps on hunting grounds, etc.

 

This law was enacted to make poaching more difficult. Poachers do not carry hunting licenses or obey seasons or bag limits, so therefore this law applies to everyone. I'm not sure if regular cops write tickets for this or only game wardens.

I'm sure this was one reason. But many poachers do have hunting licenses!

 

Sorry for going so far off this topic. New Jersey is certainly a confusing state when following its discombobulated laws.
