Im thinking of getting a new handgun want to spend tops 400 i have a xd9sc a full size 1911, a 38 spcl bodyguard. And a 357 magnum single action revolver. I do have a 22 kit for my 1911

 

Other issue is not sure who to use for references on the p2p my friend is out of country for 3 years

Save another hundred or two hundred bucks, it'll open up a much bigger range of handguns you can get.

Sounds like you need a Stoeger Cougar, or possibly you could find a used Glock for about $400.
