va_bank 0 Posted December 18, 2012 Hi All, New guy here. I've owned rifles and shotguns for about 11 years. After the hurricane went and put in for two permits for handguns. You guys seem to know what's going on with the NICS checks timeframes, so my question is - what are the chances of me seeing my paperwork come through before the end of 2013? All I want is a .357 revolver... Thanks in advance.
woodentoe 14 Posted December 18, 2012 When did u submit? What town?
va_bank 0 Posted December 18, 2012 I submitted first week of November. The town is Jefferson Twp. (Morris County). Last time (2008) it took 3 months just to get the address changed on my firearms ID card. Not the PD fault, it was 3 days after election. Generally my town PD is cool, I'm afraid it will get stuck with the state police for 12 months, with the volumes they are seeing.
woodentoe 14 Posted December 18, 2012 Well, that I don't know. But, most holdups prior to the Newtown related rush are the town dragging their heels or being understaffed. Not the SP
