Current Monmouth County wait times

I applied for permits in late Jan. 1/21.

 

As of yesterday, still nothing in the mail.

 

Last year when I applied for permits, took me like 16 days.

 

Anyone else been waiting a while in Monmouth County?

 

(I know others have been waiting for much longer in other parts of the state, I just feel this is longer for nourishing county)

Monmouth county is a pretty generic area. Each township is different. I am in Howell and mine took 6 weeks (applied on 1/14 and got my FID and P2P's on 2/26). However, other townships may be different. I have heard that the longest holdup in monmouth county is the mental health checks though.. my thought is that you might be getting the letter/call any day now that they are ready to pick up.. but that's just a theory

That's what I'm hoping for. I'm over in freehold. They are usually pretty good.

Theyre trying.. But sometimes theyre at the mercy of State Police SBI and mental health records

That's up since the last time I applied. I think then it was 5 weeks.

 

I submitted for new permits on 3/6 so we'll see how it goes...

What's odd is another person in my family applied one day after I did, for an initial fid and permit, and has already received them. Same town.
