BOOMSTICK 6 Posted March 23, 2013 I was recently given a Marlin Golden 39-A. I was told that it needs a fireing pin. I believe it's a 1962 due to the serial# V15***. Can anyone confirm this?

Parker 213 Posted March 23, 2013 Once broken down, and when you slide the breechblock (bolt) out to the right of the receiver, the firing pin lifts right off the top of the breechblock. Very easy to replace.

BOOMSTICK 6 Posted March 25, 2013 60's era Marlin 39's pistol grip straight-grip Apologies... I have the pistol grip stock in the 1st pic. My mind was referencing "pistol grip" in AR form when I was asked about it the first time.
