Any interest in Barrett .50 BMG Lowers?

I recently spoke with Barrett about the possibility of procuring low cost serialized .50 BMG components, e.g., the complete stripped lower receiver or just the mag well. I know I don't have $8,000 to drop on one at the moment, but I have always dreamed about owning one (at one point, I was actually bidding on them when I was a little more flush with cash).

 

Who would be interested in this type of product?

I'd be interested dependant on price.

 

I'll also point out that there are a ton of 50 BMG uppers for ar15 lowers. The Barrett however is semi auto and the uppers are usually bolt action single shot.

I think the best idea would be to share a secure storage location in northeastern PA. You have few places to shoot them in Jersey, anyway.

a lower from barrett if they would sell them wouldnt be 50 cal due to the upper has the barrel.therefore not restriced,unless it is stamped 50bmg.then maybe.no stamping of 50bmg=good to go.

These things aren't getting any cheaper. The price on these has doubled in the past 15 years or so.
