Another NJ Legal? Question... Mini-30

Recommended Posts

OTHER than the 20 round mag (I know it has to be pinned), is this NJ legal.

http://www.ruger.com/products/miniThirty/specSheets/5854.html

Form reading the laws I see that it has two DANGEROUS features... Detachable mag and flash hider. OR is that a muzzle break?

This leads me to believe it's legal, or am I missing something. Once again, I know the mag has to be pinned.

Darn, I put this in the wrong section, didn't I?

IIRC the law says detachable magazine and two evil features. The flash surpressor is the only evil feature, no pistol grip, bayonet stud, grenade launcher, etc.

IMO it would be NJ legal as shown.

the test is always the same..

1. Is the gun banned by name?

yes - illegal

no - move to question 2

2. IF it is a semi auto AND can accept a detachable magazine....

does it have more than one evil feature as defined by NJ state law...

yes - illegal

no - legal

it is always the same.. every time..

Yes, detachable magizine is the qualifier......... If it has one, then and only then, the evil features must be counted.
