SC now honors enhanced Idaho permit, probably non-resident too.

A new agreement between SC and ID has now been signed. SC now honors enhanced permits from ID.

 

Question is whether they honor non-resident permits. The agreement says permits issued to citizens of the united states. Nothing about residency.

However, one big catch is that you need a permit from your home state to get an ID enhanced permit.

 

So the door opens slightly, for those who have permits from NJ.

Interesting. Wasn't aware of this. But I do know SC is big on only honoring resident permits vs. non-res. I live in Charlotte right on the NC/SC border and its very annoying for me to have to disarm from conceal carry and put the firearm in my glovebox when traveling across the state line and its often because we are in SC a lot. But we're closing on a house Oct. 9th in SC and I'll be getting my SC CCW as quickly as possible.

Looks like it's no go for nonresidents. Apparently SC has a statute.

Interesting. Idaho reached out to every state asking for reciprocity. Even NJ. Of course no go for NJ.

Update to this, NO RECIPROCITY in SC with Idaho, not even for Idahoans.
