We've had competitors using both platforms Nick.

The key element for using a bolt gun is your ability to smoothly operate the bolt and quickly reload during the rapid fire stages.

AR and Garand shooters load 2 and 8 in their mags.

Bolt gunners generally load 5 and 5 for rapids, using stripper clips to directly load the internal mag.

To be honest, the top scoring shooters are generally running the more accurate bolt guns.

Then there's the rest of us running semi-autos!

We look forward to having you come out and join us.

The match happens on the 200yd line on the SJSC 300yd range.

Setup and sign-in starts at 0800.

First shot is at 0900 sharp.

See you on April 27 (if not sooner)

I actually bought a Browning xbolt in.308. Was looking for the 700, but fell in love with the Browning. Carbon Fiber glass bedded stock, 20" threaded barrel. NICS was down Saturday and I am in Texas right now, so I have to pick it up next weekend. Now I am on a glass hunt. This is the fun part LOL.
