The Honorable Declan O'Scanlon
PO Box 098
Trenton, NJ 08625-0098

Dear Assemblyman O'Scanlon,

As one of your actively voting constituents, I ask that you represent my
opinions and desires during the performance of the legislative tasks
that are associated with the office that you hold.

I believe in common-sense gun control; I do not believe in allowing a
free-for-all in regards to firearms. I also believe that our current
firearms laws provide the necessary restrictions to protect the members
of our society.

I do not believe that additional gun control laws will save lives nor
decrease firearms-related horror stories. Laws only restrict the
law-abiding, they do not restrict criminals.

I am very concerned that the implementation of additional gun control
laws will infringe on my rights and my ability to adequately protect
myself and my loved ones.

As one of my elected officials, I ask that you not assist in putting
either my family or myself at risk. I ask that you not actively
participate in restricting my rights that have been granted to me by the
Second Amendment. I ask that you use common sense and recognize that
additional restrictive gun control legislation will only restrict the
law-abiding and fail to control the criminals for whom the legislation
is targeted.

Please do not pass additional gun control legislation.

Sincerely,
XXXXXXXXXXXXX

No such thing as "common-sense gun control". Nor would a "free-for-all" be a bad thing. An armed society is a polite society.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The last clause there is fairly self explanatory. Any restriction is an infringement.

Though I am glad to see that there is someone at the statehouse who is going to vote against all this malarkey.
