I also believe that our currentfirearms laws provide the necessary restrictions to protect the membersof our society.I do not believe that additional gun control laws will save lives nordecrease firearms-related horror stories. Laws only restrict thelaw-abiding, they do not restrict criminals.I am very concerned that the implementation of additional gun controllaws will infringe on my rights and my ability to adequately protectmyself and my loved ones.As one of my elected officials, I ask that you not assist in puttingeither my family or myself at risk. I ask that you not activelyparticipate in restricting my rights that have been granted to me by theSecond Amendment. I ask that you use common sense and recognize thatadditional restrictive gun control legislation will only restrict thelaw-abiding and fail to control the criminals for whom the legislationis targeted. Please do not pass additional gun control legislation.Sincerely,XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Murphy4570 15 Posted March 4, 2014 No such thing as "common-sense gun control". Nor would a "free-for-all" be a bad thing. An armed society is a polite society. A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The last clause there is fairly self explanatory. Any restriction is an infringement. Though I am glad to see that there is someone at the statehouse who is going to vote against all this malarkey. deerpark 83 Posted March 10, 2014 Unfortunately, I think they vote is going to be down Party lines. Democrats need to be against this as well.
